The Yankees recalled Hanner from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

With Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the 27-year-old owns a 6-2 record, 2.10 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 61:24 K:BB in 51.1 innings this season. • Yankees' Bradley Hanner: Signs with Yankees, sent to minors

The Yankees signed Hanner to a major-league contract and optioned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.

After exercising an opt-out with the club Monday, Hanner is back with the Yankees, joining the 40-man roster and making his way back down to Triple-A. With Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season, the 27-year-old has posted a 1.99 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 50:16 K:BB through 40.2 innings. To make room for Hanner on the 40-man roster, the Yankees transferred Aaron Judge (ribs) to the 60-day injured list.

  • Bradley Hanner: Opting out of minor-league deal

Hanner informed the Yankees that he intends to exercise the opt-out clause in his minor-league contract Wednesday, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

Unless the Yankees make a late decision to add Hanner to their 40-man roster, the right-handed reliever will head to the open market. Hanner won't have any trouble fetching a minor-league contract elsewhere and could even land a major-league deal after shining at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre so far this season. The 27-year-old has submitted a 1.99 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 50:16 K:BB across 40.2 innings.

  • Yankees' Bradley Hanner: Nabs NRI deal with Yankees

The Yankees signed Hanner to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training Thursday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Hanner spent the 2025 campaign at Triple-A Columbus in the Guardians organization, posting a 4.74 ERA and 62:25 K:BB over 49.1 innings. The reliever will turn 27 in February and has yet to reach the majors, but Hanner boasts a career strikeout rate of 26.3 percent in the minors.
