Crews went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Phillies.
Crews was a pest all night and came around to score on a homer by Joey Gallo in the eighth inning. The 22-year-old has gone just 4-for-38 in his past 10 games, and Saturday was his first multi-hit effort since Sept. 17. On the season, he is hitting a lowly .198 but does have three home runs and 11 steals across 128 plate appearances with the Nationals.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Records steal in loss
Rotowire
Crews went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 10-0 loss to the Mets.
Crews was hitless for the third time in five games but still swiped a bag after getting aboard on a fielder's choice in the first inning. His speed has translated quickly at the major-league level with nine thefts on 11 attempts over his first 21 games. The bat hasn't been quite as good -- he's hitting .232 and slugging .390 with three home runs, eight RBI, eight runs scored and four doubles while seeing plenty of playing time in right field. It's also encouraging he was back to second in the order after finding success with a 3-for-4 performance batting seventh in Tuesday's contest.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Drives in run, swipes bag
Rotowire
Crews went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Marlins.
Crews picked up a pair of hits, an RBI and a steal before the second inning was done Thursday against the Nationals. After a streak of three straight games without a hit, Crews now has multi-hit games in back-to-back days. While his slash line of .241/.308/.448 leaves room for improvement, Crews has racked up three homers, eight RBI, six steals and seven runs in his first 15 games since being promoted in late August. It's a small sample size, but Crews has started in every game since his promotion and should continue to see regular playing time down the stretch.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Collects first two hits and steal
Rotowire
Crews went 2-for-4 with a steal, a double and one run scored in Tuesday's 4-2 win versus the Yankees.
The Washington rookie posted his first career hit in the second inning, roping a double to left off Gerrit Cole. Crews wasn't finished though, knocking an infield single in the sixth before swiping the first bag of his MLB career. The 22-year-old has all the makings of a future star after slashing .265/.340/.455 with eight homers and 10 steals across 238 plate appearances at Triple-A Rochester. He should get full playing time in the Nationals outfield while Alex Call (foot) is on the injured list and could seize control of a lineup spot if he plays well.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Slated for MLB debut Monday
Rotowire
The Nationals are expected to call up Crews from Triple-A Rochester on Monday to make his major-league debut against the Yankees, Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan reports.
The No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, Crews has slashed .272/.343/.456 with 13 home runs and 25 stolen bases between Double-A Harrisburg and Rochester, but he's improved to a .908 OPS so far in August. Crews has split his time between center field and right field of late and could be used in both spots with the Nationals.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Moving on to Triple-A
Rotowire
The Nationals promoted Crews from Double-A Harrisburg to Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Crews missed a week and a half of action with a hamstring injury and was sitting on a .664 OPS at the end of April, but he picked up the pace thereafter to earn his way to Rochester. From May 1 onward, the 22-year-old outfielder slashed .292/.359/.474 while contributing three home runs and 13 stolen bases and striking out at an acceptable 19.2 percent rate. In Rochester, he'll be part of an outfield that will soon include another elite prospect in James Wood (hamstring), who is expected to begin a rehab assignment with one of the Nationals' lower-level affiliates this week before returning from the 7-day injured list.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Heating up in May
Rotowire
Crews is slashing .310/.379/.569 through 17 games in May for Double-A Harrisburg with one homer, four steals, eight runs and 16 RBI.
The second overall pick in the 2023 Draft is finally showing a spark at the plate for Harrisburg after batting just .207 (25-for-121) through his first 32 games at Double-A dating back to last year. Crews has also gotten his strikeout rate under control, posting a 21.2 percent mark in May after flailing away at 37.0 percent in April. The 22-year-old outfielder still isn't tapping into his raw power consistently, but if James Wood gets promoted to the majors soon, Crews could get bumped up to Triple-A Rochester at the same time.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Out with hamstring
Rotowire
Crews has been out of the Double-A Harrisburg lineup since April 17 due to a hamstring issue and remains out of the lineup Thursday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
It was previously known that Crews was out of the lineup due to a minor injury, but the nature of the injury wasn't clear. The team is being extra cautious with him, but he did run yesterday and appeared to have no issues. The top prospect is slashing .244/.326/.415 with two home runs and two steals across 10 games this season.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Heating up at Double-A
Rotowire
Crews went 3-for-5 with a grand slam, a second run scored and a stolen base for Double-A Harrisburg on Sunday.
Crews' eighth-inning blast left the yard so quickly, it initially looked like a double when it hit above the fence in left field and bounced back onto the grass. The second overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft is beginning to find a groove at Double-A, going 8-for-20 (.400) over the last five games with a double, two homers, eight RBI and a 1:3 BB:K. James Wood is scorching hot at Triple-A right now, and if he forces his way onto the big-league roster, Crews could get an early promotion of his own to take Wood's place on the Rochester roster.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Big night for Harrisburg
Rotowire
Crews went 4-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in an 8-7 extra-inning win for Double-A Harrisburg on Tuesday.
The second overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft ripped a three-run home run off Braxton Ashcraft in the third inning before adding an RBI single in the fourth. The long ball was the first of the year for Crews, and his first at Double-A after he struggled in 20 games at the level to close out last season. He's batting .278 (5-for-18) through four games for Harrisburg with a 1:7 BB:K, and a quick climb up the ladder to Triple-A remains a distinct possibility if he gets hot at the plate. A big-league debut late in the 2024 campaign is still plausible for Crews, but the Nationals will likely try to preserve his rookie eligibility for 2025.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Smacks first spring homer
Rotowire
Crews went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a double and a second run scored in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Marlins.
Both extra-base hits came off Jesus Luzardo, including a fourth-inning blast to center field for Crews' first homer in a Nationals' uniform. James Wood has been the prospect star of camp so far for Washington, but Crews hasn't been too shabby either, going 4-for-14 with two doubles, two stolen bases and a 2:3 BB:K along with Wednesday's homer. After being the second overall pick in the 2023 Draft, the 22-year-old Crews could be poised to make his big-league debut over the summer if he gets off to a hot start in the high minors.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Invited to Nats' spring training
Rotowire
The Nationals announced Tuesday that Crews received an invitation to major-league spring training.
He'll join fellow prospects James Wood and Brady House, among others, in Nats camp. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, Crews slashed .292/.377/.467 with five home runs over three levels in his first 35 pro games last season. He did struggle in his 20 contests at Double-A Harrisburg (.595 OPS), but Crews should nonetheless reach the majors in short order, perhaps as soon as the 2024 season.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Exits Double-A game after HBP
Rotowire
Nationals president of baseball operations Mike Rizzo said Wednesday in an interview with Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan Washington that Crews was removed from his game Tuesday with Double-A Harrisburg as a precaution after being hit in the back of the helmet by a pitch.
A misplaced breaking ball struck Crews, forcing him from the game. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft seems to have avoided a concussion, though he will continue to be monitored. Crews has a .970 OPS with five home runs in 22 games over three levels since entering the professional ranks.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Huge day at Single-A
Rotowire
Crews went 5-for-5 with a walk, two home runs, four runs scored and six RBI for Single-A Fredericksburg on Sunday.
The second overall pick in this year's draft, Crews has dismantled low-minors pitching to begin his pro career, going 13-for-39 (.333) through his first eight games for Fredericksburg with two doubles and four homers. There have been small blemishes on his line -- he's gone 1-for-3 on stolen-base attempts and has struck out 10 times against only three walks -- but nothing that raises any serious concerns about his future. The 21-year-old appears headed for a very quick ascent through the Nationals' system, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Crews finish out the season at High-A if he continues to be unchallenged at his current level.

Nationals' Dylan Crews: Fast start to pro career
Rotowire
Crews went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored for the Nationals' Florida Complex League affiliate in his pro debut Thursday.
This is a very conservative assignment for the 21-year-old LSU star, and Crews figures to get a quick promotion to a full-season affiliate after getting his feet wet as a pro. Taken with the second overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, the outfielder is a potential four-category fantasy asset who might also contribute in steals early in his career, and a 2024 big-league debut isn't off the table if Crews races through the Nats' system without facing much of a challenge.
