Twins' Walker Jenkins: Dropped from Twins camp
The Twins reassigned Jenkins (hamstring) to minor-league camp Wednesday.
Jenkins entered camp as a long shot to make the Opening Day roster, and a Grade 1 left hamstring strain suffered this past weekend sealed his fate. The top prospect should debut at some point during the 2026 campaign.

Twins' Walker Jenkins: Picks up hamstring injury
Jenkins was diagnosed with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain after undergoing an MRI on Sunday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
The Twins' top prospect suffered the injury Saturday when attempting to beat out a double play. Jenkins is without an official timeline for his return, but the injury could affect his availability for the start of the Triple-A season. The 21-year-old received a taste of the Triple-A level late last year and has a decent chance of making his MLB debut at some point in 2026.

Twins' Walker Jenkins: Heading to Triple-A
The Twins promoted Jenkins from Double-A Wichita to Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Jenkins will make the leap to Triple-A after slashing .309/.426/.487 with seven home runs and 11 stolen bases across 235 plate appearances in 52 games with Wichita. Widely considered one of the Twins' top prospects, Jenkins will look to close out the season on a high note at Triple-A before potentially making a run at a spot on the Twins' Opening Day roster next spring.

Twins' Walker Jenkins: Returning to action at Double-A
Double-A Wichita reinstated Jenkins (ankle) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday.
Jenkins is expected to be included in the Wichita lineup for Tuesday's series opener versus Arkansas in what will be his first appearance for the Double-A club since April 6. The outfield prospect missed just over two months due to the left ankle sprain he suffered in first week of the season but has rejoined Wichita after completing an extended rehab assignment in the lower levels of the minors. Between stops in the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A Fort Myers, Jenkins slashed .269/.441/.385 with one home run and two stolen bases in nine games.

Twins' Walker Jenkins: Begins rehab assisgnment
Jenkins (ankle) went 0-for-1 with two walks Tuesday while playing for the FCL Twins during a rehab assignment.
Jenkins suffered a sprained left ankle early in spring training but was able to return in time for the start of the Double-A season. However, he injured the ankle again after the team's first two games. He then received a cortisone shot for a high ankle sprain at the end of April. The top prospect could return to Double-A later in June.

Twins' Walker Jenkins: Still weeks away from playing
Jenkins, who received a cortisone shot for a left high ankle sprain at the end of April, is still a couple of weeks away from returning, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Jenkins suffered a sprained ankle early in spring training but was able to return in time for the start of the Double-A season. However, he injured the ankle again after the team's first two games and hasn't played since. It's new information that Jenkins suffered a high ankle sprain, so his extended absence makes more sense. It wouldn't be surprising if he's not back at Double-A until July at this point.

Twins' Walker Jenkins: Receives injection
Jenkins (ankle) received a cortisone injection Tuesday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Jenkins has been on the injured list at Double-A Wichita since April 9 due to a sprained left ankle. His injection will help aid in the healing process, but the Twins don't expect him to return to action before the end of May. How far his absence extends beyond that will depend on how quickly he progresses through his rehab.

Twins' Walker Jenkins: Lands on IL due to ankle sprain
Jenkins was placed on Double-A Wichita's 7-day injured list Wednesday due to a left ankle sprain, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
It's the same injury that caused Jenkins to be sidelined during spring training. He appeared in two games for Wichita before aggravating the injury, going 1-for-8 with two strikeouts in that span. It's unclear how long Jenkins will spend on the IL while rehabbing from his injury.
