  • Orioles' Jeremiah Jackson: Signs MiLB deal with Baltimore

The Orioles signed Jackson to a minor-league contract Monday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. Jackson played in 121 games with Double-A Binghamton in 2024, batting .206 with 19 home runs, 61 RBI, 49 runs scored and 11 stolen bass as a member of the Mets organization. He will now get a shot to prove himself with Baltimore ahead of the 2025 campaign.

  • Mets' Jeremiah Jackson: Acquired for Leone

The Mets acquired Jackson from the Angels on Tuesday in exchange for Dominic Leone, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports. Jackson represents a nice return for a rental reliever, as the infielder was a second-round selection in the 2018 MLB First-Year Player Draft and had posted a .768 OPS with 15 home runs and 21 steals through 82 games this season at Double-A Rocket City. The 23-year-old infielder will presumably join up with the Double-A affiliate of the Mets in Binghamton.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Returns to action at Double-A

Jackson has gone 1-for-7 with a double, a walk and two RBI in two games since Double-A Rocket City reinstated him from the temporary inactive list Tuesday. Jackson was out of commission for about two weeks while he was on the inactive list, but the missed time shouldn't hinder his development in any significant way.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Inactive at Double-A

Double-A Rocket City placed Jackson on its temporary inactive list last Tuesday. Jackson was deactivated after he went 0-for-12 with eight strikeouts through his first three games at Rocket City, so it's possible he was sent to the Angels' extended spring training facility in Arizona to address his swing mechanics. The 23-year-old has mainly served as a middle infielder during his minor-league career, but he played exclusively at third base and in center field at Double-A this season before being deactivated.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Reassigned to minors camp

Jackson was reassigned to minor-league camp by the Angels on Tuesday. Jackson spent all of last season with Double-A Rocket City, slashing .215/.308/.404 with 44 RBI across 351 plate appearances. The 22-year-old infield prospect will most likely return to Double-A to begin 2023.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Returns from injured list

Jackson (oblique) was activated from the minor-league injured list Thursday. Jackson missed over six weeks while dealing with an oblique strain, and he's played in only four contests so far this season. Since returning from the injury, the 22-year-old has gone 0-for-4 with two walks, three strikeouts, two runs and a stolen base across two games.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Lands on injured list

Jackson was placed on Double-A Rocket City's 7-day injured list Tuesday due to an unspecified injury, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports. Jackson appeared in two games for Rocket City to open the season but has now been sidelined for 10 days due to the injury. The Angels haven't said when he's expected to return.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Returning to action in AFL

The Angels announced Wednesday that Jackson (quadriceps) will be included on their Arizona Fall League roster, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports. Jackson strained his quad in late June and was shut down for about 10 weeks before he returned to action in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League in early September. After completing a six-game rehab assignment in the ACL, Jackson returned from the injured list to rejoin Low-A Inland Empire, finishing the campaign with a .263 average, eight home runs and 11 steals in 45 games with the affiliate. Jackson still only picked up just over 200 plate appearances on the season on account of the injury, so the stint in the AFL will allow him to pick up some extra reps while also giving him the chance to take at-bats against higher-caliber competition.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Out with quad strain

Jackson is out indefinitely with a significant upper quad strain, Kyle Glaser of Baseball America reports. He last played for Low-A Inland Empire on June 24, and it's possible he won't return this season. Jackson is not advanced enough to be assigned to the Arizona Fall League, but he could play in fall instructs. Prior to suffering the injury, the 21-year-old infielder was up to his old tricks, hitting for significant power (.262 ISO) while striking out too much (34.5 percent strikeout rate).

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Heading to big-league camp

Jackson earned an invitation to major-league spring training Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Jackson will get the chance to work out with the Angels' big-league coaching staff, but he's highly unlikely to be auditioning for a roster spot. He has the skills necessary to one day be a power-hitting infielder and could even stick at shortstop, but he's a very long way from making good on that potential, as he's yet to play above the rookie-ball level.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Added to pool

Jackson joined the Angels' player pool Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Jackson will report to the team's alternate training site in Long Beach, CA. With no minor-league games this season, he'll get the chance to continue his development in the best available environment, though he's highly unlikely to make his debut this season, as he's yet to play above rookie ball.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Ties Pioneer League HR record

Jackson clubbed his 23rd home run of the season for rookie-level Orem on Saturday to tie the single-season Pioneer League record. Jackson's record-tying homer came in the sixth and was also the first three-run shot of his minor-league career. Per Katie Woo of MiLB.com, Gregory Morrison of the Medicine Hat Blue Jays established the record with 23 home runs in 1997. With seven games left in Orem's season, Jackson has an excellent chance of stamping his name alone in the record book with one more long ball.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Flexing power in Pioneer League

Jackson hit a pair of home runs for rookie-level Orem on Monday, bringing his season total to 17 long balls in 49 games. Jackson, the Angels' second-round pick in 2018, set Orem's single-season record with his 16th homer in the second inning and added another in the fifth. Currently the fifth-ranked prospect in the organization, Jackson has now hit 24 long balls in 92 career minor-league games, though he has also struck out 131 times in 365 at-bats.

  • Angels' Jeremiah Jackson: Not ready for Low-A

Jackson is opening the year in extended spring training, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports. This comes as a bit of a surprise, as Jackson was pretty impressive last season in rookie ball and his teammate from the same draft class, Jordyn Adams, was given the assignment to Low-A. It seems like we may have to wait until short-season leagues open in mid-June to see Jackson make his 2019 debut, likely back in the Pioneer League.
