Angels' Aaron Hernandez: Back in action at Double-A
Rotowire
Hernandez (undisclosed) has made two relief appearances for Double-A Rocket City since being activated from the 7-day injured list April 19, striking out six over 5.1 innings while giving up five earned runs on six hits and two walks.
Hernandez previously concluded the 2021 season on the 7-day injured list, but it's unclear if the injury he dealt with then is related to the one that sidelined him to begin the 2022 campaign. In any case, the 25-year-old right-hander is healthy again and will continue to serve as a long reliever and possible spot starter for Rocket City.

Angels' Aaron Hernandez: Moves up to Double-A
Rotowire
Hernandez was promoted to Double-A Rocket City on Saturday, Jared Tims of Talkin' Halos reports.
Hernandez was a third-round pick by the Angels in the 2018 first-year player draft and posted a 4.46 ERA and 81:46 K:BB over 72.2 innings in High-A ball in 2019. He has shown improvement this season, registering a 1.93 ERA, .175 BAA and 20:13 K:BB in five starts covering 18.2 frames. Hernandez still needs to work on control issues, and he'll now be able to do so with the Trash Pandas.
