Phillies' Cal Stevenson: Sent down to minors
The Phillies optioned Stevenson to their spring training complex Tuesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
With Triple-A Lehigh Valley's season over, Stevenson will report to the team's spring training facility, where he'll work out in case he's needed later on. The transaction frees a spot on the roster for the return of Austin Hays (kidney) from the injured list.
