Royals' Jac Caglianone: Back in action Saturday
Caglianone (shoulder) will start in right field and bat third Saturday against Detroit.
Caglianone missed out on the starting lineup in each of Kansas City's last three games due to a sore right shoulder, though he was able to enter Friday's game off the bench. Now that the issue appears to have subsided, he'll return to the starting nine and look to remain hot after having accumulated a 10-game hitting streak earlier this month.

Caglianone was visibly shaken up after making a diving attempt to catch a ball in the fifth inning. More details regarding the severity of his injury should be announced in the near future, and Tyler Tolbert figures to be the next man up to start in the outfield if Caglianone is unable to play Wednesday.

Caglianone went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 19-2 loss to the Padres.
Caglianone opened the scoring with a solo shot in the bottom of the first inning. The 23-year-old is in the midst of a 10-game hitting streak, tallying three multi-hit efforts, seven extra-base hits, six RBI and seven runs scored during that stretch. On the season, he's slashing .263/.321/.471 with 16 homers, 37 RBI, 46 runs scored and three steals across 361 plate appearances.

Caglianone went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during Friday's 5-3 loss to Baltimore.
Caglianone put the Royals on the board in the fourth inning with a solo homer off Brandon Young. It was the 15th long ball of the season for Caglianone and his first since June 23 against the Rays, when he smacked two homers. The 23-year-old outfielder has gone 7-for-31 with four extra-base hits, five RBI and four runs scored over his last seven games and a .789 OPS across 341 plate appearances this season.

Caglianone went 2-for-6 with two RBI and a run scored during the Royals' 15-1 win over the Phillies on Monday.
Caglianone contributed to the Royals' blowout by hitting RBI singles in the seventh and eighth innings. It was the eighth multi-RBI game of the season for the 23-year-old outfielder and his first since June 23 against the Rays. Caglianone is slashing .259/.325/.457 with three steals, 14 home runs and 33 RBI over 323 plate appearances this season.

The Royals scratched Caglianone from the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox without specifying a reason, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
Caglianone had been slated to bat third and start in right field, but the Royals pulled him from the lineup about an hour and a half before game time. The team is expected to provide an explanation behind Caglianone's removal later Sunday, but Kameron Misner will get the nod in right field in his stead.
