Player Outlook
Josh Adamczewski is firmly a bat-first prospect, but he has enough offensive upside to potentially profile at the bottom of the defensive spectrum. His strong left-handed swing can produce power to all fields, and he logged a .210 ISO and 187 wRC+ in 46 games at Single-A and a .953 OPS in 20 Arizona Fall League games. Adamczewski struggled to produce in 16 games at High-A, in part due to a .239 BABIP, although he still commanded the zone with a 12.3 percent walk rate and 16.9 percent strikeout rate. His scouting report has two high grades: hit and power; and three low grades: run, field and arm. In addition to his primary position of second base, Adamczewski has seen time in left field. There are some similarities to former Brewer Keston Hiura, as Adamczewski's defense is a big enough liability that there is extreme pressure on him to produce enough at the plate to eventually slot in at designated hitter. In the meantime, look for him to put up impressive surface and under-the-hood stats at High-A and Double-A in 2026.

  • Brewers' Josh Adamczewski: Moves up to High-A

Adamczewski has gone 2-for-8 with two runs, one RBI and one stolen base in two games since being promoted to High-A Wisconsin from Single-A Carolina on Tuesday. Adamczewski was shelved at Carolina in late May after experiencing joint irritation in his back, but he returned to action for the Single-A club coming out of the All-Star break and proceeded to slash .359/.468/.603 over his final 22 games to earn the move up to the Midwest League. He should continue to handle an everyday role in the Wisconsin infield for the remainder of the season.
