Player Outlook
Andrew Fischer went from Duke to Ole Miss to Tennessee en route to totaling 56 homers while playing for a different school in each of his three college seasons before the Brewers selected him 20th overall in 2025. A lefty-hitting/righty-throwing first baseman/third baseman, Fischer will go as far as his bat takes him. He slashed .341/.497/.760 with 25 home runs, a 21.6 percent walk rate and a 14.4 percent strikeout rate as a junior and slashed .311/.402/.446 with one home run and eight steals in 19 games at High-A. He rarely chases but he takes big cuts and had a subpar 70.2 percent contact rate at High-A. Fischer sits in a crouched stance and looks to launch homers to the pull side. He had an .827 OPS in the Cape Cod League in 2024 despite an unlucky .231 average, as he was able to control the zone (9:14 K:BB) while hitting three home runs in 19 games with a wood bat. Fischer has a long track record of offensive excellence and could be a regular top 10 fantasy first baseman during his prime. He'll likely split 2026 between Double-A and Triple-A, setting up a late-2026 or early-2027 MLB debut.

Adam McCalvy@AdamMcCalvy3H agoTyler Black hit a three-RBI *single* as part of a six-RBI afternoon. You don’t see that very often. In fact, you haven’t seen it from a Brewers hitter in a game that counted since 1995. Who was it? The answer is here: https://t.co/xQwuQYt1ww -
