Linsanity returns to the Garden on Monday night, but will Carmelo Anthony be part of the welcoming party?
After spraining his left ankle against the Lakers last Thursday, Anthony is a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Rockets.
Coach Mike Woodson told reporters that Anthony didn't participate in the team's shootaround on Monday morning.
"I don't know until we get to the game," Woodson told reporters. "I have no idea."
Anthony sat out New York's game on Saturday against the Cavaliers. Chris Copeland started in Anthony's place as Rasheed Wallace sat out with a sore foot. If Anthony is unable to go, Copeland or James White is expected to get the start again as Wallace is doubtful.
Anthony sprained the ankle when he fell awkwardly on it after a challenge at the rim from Dwight Howard. Anthony stayed in the game to shoot two free throws, but then checked out and went to the locker room, not returning to the game.
Without Melo, the Knicks are 2-1 in his absence. One win, of course, being a 20-point blowout of the Heat in Miami.
