Miami Heat big man Chris Andersen is active for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, the team announced on Friday. He missed Games 4 and 5 against the Indiana Pacers because of a left thigh contusion, missed shootaround on Friday and was classified as a game-time decision.
Andersen had a huge Game 1, compiling 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 19 minutes. While his numbers weren't as great in the two following games, his biggest contributions often go under the radar. If he's able to play like his normal self, Andersen will be a big boost for Miami's pick-and-roll defense, plus he will protect the rim and provide his usual brand of energy and effort.
Game 6 tips off at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
