OKLAHOMA CITY -- Down 75-68 with 2:08 remaining, the Thunder looked finished. The offense was in complete disarray, nothing was falling and Kevin Durant was strangely passive offensively.
Then something clicked. James Harden made a driving layup. Durant stole a pass and sprinted down for a dunk. Four points in 15 seconds. Two baskets. Which was roughly 25 percent of their total second half output to that point. Another stop, another Harden layup.
Another stop. That set up another friendly roll for Durant on the rim as he dropped what ended up being a game-winner with 18 seconds left. The Lakers, down one, took a timeout, got the ball to Kobe before he was fouled with five seconds left as Oklahoma City had a foul to give. The Lakers took another timeout, and inexplicably threw the ball into Steve Blake who hoisted a 3.
Game over. The Thunder ended the game on a 9-0 run to snatch Game 2 right out from under the Lakers. The Thunder shot just 42 percent, turned it over nine more times than they did in Game 1, got a 5-17 performance from Russell Westbrook and couldn't stop Andrew Bynum.
And yet they are up 2-0. Doesn't look good for the Lakers.
