Jason Kidd has been fined $25,000 for criticizing officiating following Game 5, the league announced Friday.
Kidd's comment came a day after the Nets lost to the Raptors 115-113 win on a conference call where the Brooklyn coach expressed frustration in the free throw disparity.
“If flopping is the way to go, we maybe have to play that game,” Kidd told reporters. “But Joe is a strong individual and unfortunately he doesn’t flop. He plays, he doesn’t complain. That’s why we have officials.”
Kidd even went a step further, criticizing one official by name saying Shaun Livingston was fouled “right in front of Tom Washington."
This is Kidd's second fine this season, after being tabbed with a $50,000 one for intentionally spilling a drink to delay the game in November.
