Each night, Eye on Basketball brings you what you need to know about the games of the NBA. From great performances to terrible clock management the report card evaluates and eviscerates the good, the bad, and the ugly from the night that was.

Denver Nuggets They just keep on doing enough to keep their head above water. Granted, they got the Bulls without Derrick Rose, but it was in Chicago and ran up 108 points on the league's best defense. Ty Lawson is taking over a leadership role with the team and while they're scratching to stay alive in the Western playoff picture, winning in Chicago is certainly an unexpected bonus.
Patrick Patterson A career-high 24 points in a nice win over the Kings, which included a game-tying bucket to force overtime. Every win for the Rockets is vital and shorthanded without Kyle Lowry, they need players to step up and Patterson did.
Basketball in the Big Apple In a very important game at Madison Square Garden between the Knicks and Bucks, the two teams combined for 43 turnovers and shot a combined 36 percent from the field. The Knicks picked up a crucial win, but man, was it ugly.
Miami Heat It was the second game of a road back-to-back and it was against a good Indiana team, so there are some excuses, but that's two straight nights the Heat didn't bring much of anything in a big game. Erik Spoelstra was clearly upset with their effort in Oklahoma City, so I can't imagine how he feels about this one. The Heat hadn't allowed a hundred points in a two weeks and now they've done it in back-to-back nights.
Chris Bosh In a game the Heat were outrebounded 49-33, Bosh only had two. He finished 4-11 for 14 points and was as much a non-factor as the rest of his team.
