More Offseason Analysis: Coaching changes, news | Free Agency | Draft
You can never have too much depth in your backcourt. You never know when injuries will rear their ugly heads or when a trade will present itself that leaves you a little thin at a position or two. As teams fill out the ends of their roster as we finish up free agency, you'll see weak parts of depth charts around the league become stronger.
The Orlando Magic are doing just that at the point guard position. Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports is reporting the Magic have agreed to terms with backup point guard Peyton Siva to help provide some depth.

The Magic used Victor Oladipo quite a bit at point guard last season and selected Elfrid Payton out of Louisiana-Lafayette in the 2014 draft, but waiving Jameer Nelson earlier this off-season has left them with little depth at the point guard position. The Magic also picked up Willie Green and Ben Gordon but Siva gives them a much more traditional option. Siva was the 56th pick in the 2013 draft. He only played 224 minutes over 24 games for the Detroit Pistons last season, averaging 2.3 points and 1.4 assists in 9.3 minutes.
