The Suns are not limiting themselves to teams on the list of preferred destinations of guard Goran Dragic, believing he could be persuaded to accept a five-year max deal elsewhere, Yahoo! Sports reports.
The Suns are asking for a young player with significant potential and one first-round pick or two first-round picks in a deal for Dragic, per the report. The teams that appear to be the likeliest fit of need and assets fall outside the list of preferred destinations provided by Dragic's agent, which includes the Lakers, Heat and Knicks.
Dragic said earlier this week he has no intention of resigning with the Suns this offseason, leaving the team motivated to deal him before Thursday's deadline. He has averaged 16.2 points, 4.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 52 games.
The Suns are attempting to attach Zoran Dragic, Goran's brother, in packages involving the disgruntled guard, per the report.
