The Hornets badly needed a win on Friday and with the Knicks in town on a back to back, it looked like a great opportunity. But the Hornets blew a ten-point lead, let Melo shoot threes twice in a row (including one play where Kemba Walker fell down, and Marvin Williams opted to chase Pablo Prigioni and leave Melo in the corner for some unknown reason).
So with four seconds left, the Hornets needed something of a miracle. And Kemba Walker who has struggled so much this season, showed up.
Huge shot. Any more time on the clock and I'd still probably say they should have looked for a better shot. But with four seconds left? You go to the guy who's hit so many big ones, and the Hornets finally break their losing streak. You also have to like Walker getting to the rim vs. taking the step-back. Smart move.
Now about that defense...
