Josh McRoberts: Waived by Mavericks
McRoberts was waived by the Mavericks on Saturday, Bobby Karalla of the Mavericks' official site reports.
McRoberts was never a part of the Mavericks' rotation, as the veteran has only played in two games this season after arriving in Dallas via trade with the Heat this past summer. He'll now have a chance to sign on with another squad in need of veteran depth.

McRoberts was available off the bench for the first time this season after battling a lower-body injury for several months, but he did not see the floor in the Mavs' three-point victory. Mavericks' Josh McRoberts: Available to play Sunday
Contrary to an earlier report, coach Rick Carlisle confirmed McRoberts (lower body) will be available to play Sunday against the Thunder, Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reports.
While he was initially ruled out for Sunday's tilt earlier in the day, it turns out McRoberts, who has been sidelined all year with a lower body injury, is feeling well enough to make his season debut. That said, he figures to be on some sort of minutes limit, though he isn't expected to play a large role of the Macs' bench regardless.

McRoberts (lower body) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Thunder, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.
McRoberts has yet to see the floor this season while working through a lower body injury, but finally appears to be nearing a his return. The Mavericks reported there was an "outside chance" that McRoberts could play Sunday, though they'll hold him out one more contest in order to avoid bringing the big man back too soon and risking some sort of setback. McRoberts' next opportunity to take the floor will be Wednesday against the Warriors.
