Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Drops out of rotation
Connaughton (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in Wednesday's 122-106 win over the Bulls.
Connaughton appears to have lost his spot in head coach Doc Rivers' rotation, as the veteran wing has now failed to get off the bench in both of the Bucks' last two games. Taurean Prince, Gary Trent, AJ Green and Andre Jackson are currently serving as the Bucks' primary options on the wing, and Connaughton's path to playing time will only become more blocked once Khris Middleton (ankles) is ready to make his NBA debut. Connaughton shot just 35.5 percent from the field and 30 percent from three-point range while averaging 4.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 17.6 minutes over the Bucks' first 13 games of the season before dropping out of the rotation.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Hits two three-pointers in win
Connaughton recorded six points (2-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 127-120 overtime victory over the Pistons.
With Milwaukee's rotation down to only eight players Wednesday, Connaughton logged a season-high 24 minutes and two threes off the bench against Detroit. Over 12 reserve appearances for the Bucks this season, the 31-year-old veteran swingman is still supplying just 4.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 17.3 minutes per game. However, fantasy managers may see Connaughton take on a more pronounced role from the second unit once again if star guard Damian Lillard (concussion) and sixth man Bobby Portis (elbow) remain sidelined for Saturday's favorable matchup with the Hornets.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Good to go vs. Cleveland
Connaughton (hip) is available for Monday's game against the Cavaliers.
Connaughton was hobbled by a left adductor strain during the Bucks' loss to the Cavaliers on Saturday, during which he went scoreless over 10 minutes. It won't hold him out of action, however, as he'll be available off the Bucks' bench Monday.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Probable for Monday
Connaughton is probable for Monday's game against the Cavaliers due to a left adductor strain, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
Connaughton was held scoreless for the first time this season during Saturday's loss to Cleveland, so while he's expected to play through the issue, it may impact his effectiveness. In his first five appearances of the season, Connaughton averaged 4.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 17.2 minutes per game.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Leads Milwaukee's bench in scoring
Connaughton closed with five points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds in 15 minutes during Monday's 119-108 loss to Boston.
The 31-year-old led the bench in scoring with five points, though the entirety of the Milwaukee bench was outscored 28-19 by Payton Pritchard alone. Connaughton has received fairly consistent playing time off the bench four games into the regular season, but his 15 minutes against the Celtics marked his lowest total yet. In those four appearances, the veteran guard has shot just 7-for-20 from the field, including 4-for-14 from deep.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Retreats to bench
Connaughton isn't starting Thursday's preseason game against the Lakers, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
Connaughton drew a spot start in Sunday's preseason opener, but with Giannis Antetokounmpo (rest) and Gary Trent (elbow) returning to play, Connaughton will head back to the bench. Connaughton should see plenty of looks Thursday night as he prepares to handle a bench role in the upcoming 2024-25 campaign.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Enters starting lineup
Connaughton will start Sunday's preseason game against the Pistons.
Connaughton will get the start due to Giannis Antetokounmpo (rest) and Khris Middleton (ankle) being sidelined. Connaughton will likely serve as a quality role player for Milwaukee again this year come the regular season.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Will come off bench
Connaughton will return to a reserve role in Friday's matchup with the Raptors.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Enters first unit
Connaughton will start Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies.
Connaughton is a primary beneficiary of Damian Lillard (groin), Patrick Beverley (ankle) and Khris Middleton (ankle) all sitting out Wednesday. Connaughton will make his third start of the campaign and has averaged 10.5 points, 7.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game with the first unit in 2023-24.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Leads bench in scoring Tuesday
Connaughton chipped in 15 points (4-11 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and one block across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 117-113 loss to Washington.
Tuesday's contest marked the first time since March 8 that Connaughton scored 15 points or more in a game. He saw extended playing time due to Damian Lillard's (personal) absence and Patrick Beverley exiting in the third quarter after spraining his right ankle. If Lillard and Beverley are unable to suit up for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, expect Connaughton and AJ Green to see extended playing time.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Posts season-high 17 points in loss
Connaughton notched 17 points (6-7 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 31 minutes during Friday's 123-122 loss to the Lakers.
Connaughton was the leading bench scorer for Milwaukee, finishing with his highest point total of the campaign. Not coincidentally, this was the first time he played 30-plus minutes since Feb. 8. Connaughton averaged just 4.7 points on 40.0 percent shooting over his previous three contests, so fantasy managers need not rush to pluck him off the waiver wire despite his hot shooting Friday.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Due for enlarged role
Connaughton will come off the bench, with Patrick Beverley entering the starting lineup Monday, while Giannis Antetokounmpo is sidelined due to Achilles tendonitis.
Connaughton's size could be needed against a forward-heavy Clippers roster. However, Beverley brings familiarity and competitive juice against his former team.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Will play Friday
Connaughton (knee) is good to go for Friday's game against Minnesota.
Connaughton was carrying a probable tag before this update, but the injury is considered relatively minor. Despite playing more than 20 minutes in three straight games, Connaughton had a total of seven points to his name in that span.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Probable for Friday
Connaughton (knee) is probable for Friday's game in Minnesota.
Connaughton should be good to go for his usual minutes in the mid-20s, but he's not the most attractive fantasy asset. Over the final four games heading into the All-Star break, Connaughton registered pedestrian averages of 3.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Good to go against Miami
Connaughton (knee) is in the starting five for Tuesday's game versus the Heat.
Connaughton has been upgraded from probable to available despite dealing with a left knee contusion. The 31-year-old forward should continue to serve as one of Milwaukee's first players off the bench.

Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Probable Tuesday
Connaughton is probable for Tuesday's game against Miami due to a left knee contusion.
Connaughton has suited up in 30 consecutive games for Milwaukee, and he's averaging 7.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 26.8 minutes across his last four games. If he's able to suit up Tuesday, the 31-year-old will likely continue operating in an enlarged role while Khris Middleton (ankle) is sidelined.
