Heat's Norman Powell: Remaining out Sunday
Powell (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
Powell continues to work through a right groin strain that has prevented him from playing since he sustained the injury against the 76ers on Feb. 26. His next chance to play is Tuesday against the Wizards, though Powell can be considered doubtful for that contest considering the Heat have yet to provide an update for the veteran wing. Pelle Larsson should remain in an elevated role for as long as Powell is sidelined.

Heat's Norman Powell: Week-to-week with groin strain
Powell is week-to-week with a right groin strain, per Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.
Powell left Thursday's game against the 76ers due to the strain, and it looks like he'll be out for at least Miami's next four contests. It's possible the Heat will opt to reinsert Tyler Herro into the starting lineup in the absence of Powell, and Pelle Larsson should continue to warrant streaming consideration in the meantime.

Heat's Norman Powell: Departs with groin injury
Powell won't return to Thursday's game against the 76ers due to a right groin strain. He finished with three points (1-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists in 10 minutes.
Powell appeared to aggravate an existing groin injury at some point in the second quarter, and the team quickly ruled him out for the rest of the game. The Heat will presumably send Powell in for further testing Friday before a determination is made on his status for Saturday's game against the Rockets.

Heat's Norman Powell: Cleared to play
Powell (groin) will play Thursday night against the 76ers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
Powell was added to the injury report as questionable earlier in the day due to groin soreness, but he's since received the green light to take the court. He's fresh off an impressive 26-point game Tuesday against the Bucks.

Heat's Norman Powell: Questionable for Thursday
Powell (groin) is questionable for Thursday's game against the 76ers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
Powell was a late addition to the injury report due to right groin soreness, and that's usually a bad sign in fantasy hoops. Davion Mitchell (illness) is also questionable for Miami. If the Heat are shorthanded, guys like Pelle Larsson and Jaime Jaquez could become more involved.

Heat's Norman Powell: Drops 26 points in loss
Powell ended Tuesday's 128-117 loss to Milwaukee with 26 points (6-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 11-14 FT), six rebounds and one steal across 30 minutes.
Powell got to the charity stripe often and finished as Miami's leading scorer, albeit in a losing effort. The veteran swingman has reached the 20-point threshold in back-to-back games and in four of his five appearances this month. However, he also dished out zero assists for the fourth time this season. Powell is now averaging 22.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per tilt in February.

Heat's Norman Powell: Scores 25 in victory
Powell finished with 25 points (10-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-7 FT), two rebounds, six assists, one block and two steals over 27 minutes during Saturday's 136-120 win over the Grizzlies.
Powell was back to All-Star form versus Memphis, as he scored 25 points on the second night of a back-to-back set. He also shot 62.5 percent from the field, but he uncharacteristically missed five of seven free-throw attempts. Powell will now have back-to-back off days before the Heat returns to action Tuesday against the Bucks.

Heat's Norman Powell: Good to go Saturday
Powell (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
As expected, Powell will suit up in the second leg of this back-to-back set after initially being listed as probable due to an illness. The veteran swingman has appeared in just three outings this month, during which he has averaged 20.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals in 28.3 minutes per tilt.

Heat's Norman Powell: Nursing head illness
Powell (illness) is listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies.
Powell and Davion Mitchell are both dealing with head illnesses, though the former is likely to suit up for Saturday's contest while the latter is listed as doubtful. Powell played 25 minutes in Miami's 128-97 blowout win over Atlanta on Friday and finished with 15 points (5-13 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal. Jaime Jaquez, Pelle Larsson and Myron Gardner would likely take on expanded roles if Powell is unable to play.

Heat's Norman Powell: Can't connect from deep Sunday
Powell (back) played 14 minutes Sunday at All-Star weekend in Los Angeles between Team World's losses to Team Stars and Team Stripes, finishing with five points (2-7 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists.
Powell has averaged 2.9 three-pointers per game and has converted at a 39.6 percent clip from downtown over his 45 appearances on the season, but the veteran wing was unable to get going from deep in his first All-Star appearance. The 32-year-old had missed the Heat's final two games before the All-Star break due to lower-back tightness, but assuming he checked out fine following Sunday's exhibition, he'll be ready to go for Miami's next contest Friday in Atlanta.
