Heat's Norman Powell: Won't play due to court conditions
Powell and the Heat won't play Thursday's game against the Bulls due to condensation on the court, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The matchup was initially delayed for around two hours as the arena staff attempted to make the court playable, but the decision was ultimately made to postpone for the night. It's unclear at this time when the game will be rescheduled, though the league put out a statement noting a new date for the contest will be communicated at a later time.

Heat's Norman Powell: Erupts for 34 points in win
Powell ended Sunday's 125-106 victory over the Pelicans with 34 points (11-15 FG, 9-12 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 29 minutes.
Powell torched the nets in the victory, knocking down a career-high nine triples in an extremely efficient performance. The veteran swingman is on pace for a career-best year and has scored 20 or more points in 24 of his 31 regular-season outings, including six with at least 30. Powell will likely continue to operate as Miami's top offensive option for as long as Tyler Herro (toe) remains sidelined, and the former has topped 20 points in six consecutive outings.

Heat's Norman Powell: Iffy to return Saturday
Powell is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Timberwolves due to right leg soreness, Will Manso of Local 10 Miami reports.
Powell logged just under six minutes before exiting Saturday's contest, recording two points (1-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and one steal. If he's unable to return, Jaime Jaquez, Dru Smith and Kasparas Jakucionis are candidates for increased playing time the rest of the way.

Powell produced 21 points (6-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 25 minutes of Saturday's 125-115 loss to Minnesota.
Powell did have some right leg soreness in this game which sent him back to the locker room, though he was able to return and seemed to be moving fine. He's been trending up lately, posting averages of 24.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.9 three-pointers over his last seven games.

Heat's Norman Powell: Erupts for 36 points in win
Powell supplied 36 points (12-23 FG, 7-14 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 35 minutes in Thursday's 118-112 win over the Pistons.
Powell turned in an efficient performance Thursday, leading all players in scoring and three-pointers while finishing two points shy of his season high. The veteran swingman continues to impress this season and has scored 20-plus points in 22 of his 29 regular-season appearances. He has reached the 20-point threshold in four straight games, averaging 27.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game during that stretch.

Heat's Norman Powell: Drops 25 points in win
Powell supplied 25 points (9-16 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal across 33 minutes in Friday's 126-111 win over the Hawks.
With Tyler Herro (toe) and Bam Adebayo (back) sidelined, Powell stepped up following an inefficient performance during Tuesday's blowout loss to Toronto. The veteran swingman led the Heat in scoring and was efficient from the floor, although he did struggle from beyond the arc once again. Over his last four outings, Powell has shot just 24.2 percent from downtown. Still, he has finished with at least 17 points in all four of those games.

Heat's Norman Powell: Inefficient in Tuesday's loss
Powell posted 17 points (6-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, six assists and two steals over 35 minutes during the Heat's 112-91 loss to the Raptors on Tuesday.
It was a rough offensive outing as a whole for the Heat on Tuesday, and while Powell struggled from the field in the loss, he did manage to finish as the team's second-leading scorer behind Jaime Jaquez (21 points). Powell is still enjoying a career year in his first regular season in Miami, with the veteran guard averaging 23.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.9 threes and 1.3 steals over 31.4 minutes per game.

Heat's Norman Powell: Another strong line
Powell chipped in 22 points (7-17 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists and three steals over 35 minutes during Sunday's 132-125 loss to New York.
This was just another day at the office for Powell as he continues to put up some impressive numbers with his new squad. Through 24 regular-season appearances, he's shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 41.5 percent from beyond the arc to go with averages of 24.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals.

Heat's Norman Powell: Off night from deep
Powell registered 18 points (7-21 FG, 1-11 3Pt, 3-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal over 34 minutes during Miami's 129-116 loss to Boston on Friday.
Powell finished as Miami's second-leading scorer, but he accounted for 10 of the Heat's 30 missed three-pointers Friday, which was his most in a game since March 10, 2024, against the Bucks as a member of the Clippers (11 missed threes). Despite this off night, Powell has been the Heat's go-to option on offense in games when Tyler Herro (toe) hasn't played, and that shouldn't change for Sunday's road tilt against the Knicks if Herro remains out.

Heat's Norman Powell: Nets 24 points with three steals
Powell posted 24 points (8-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, two assists and three steals across 33 minutes during Thursday's 106-95 victory over the Nets.
Powell had a tough time getting his shot to drop during Monday's loss to the Raptors, but he was hot from the jump in this one, drilling his first five field-goal attempts and closing out the first half by nailing an incredible, one-handed, running half-court heave. The 32-year-old veteran finished with a team-best plus-14 differential and helped the Heat hit the brakes on a five-game skid.

Heat's Norman Powell: Confirms he will play
Powell (calf) said he will play Thursday against the Nets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Powell was recently upgraded from questionable to probable after missing Wednesday's practice. However, the star guard confirmed that he will be in the lineup to face the Nets on the front end of this back-to-back set. With Tyler Herro (toe) already ruled out, Powell is likely to see increased usage Thursday.

Heat's Norman Powell: Upgraded to probable
Powell (calf) has been upgraded to probable for Thursday's game against the Nets.
The Heat initially listed Powell as questionable after he was unable to practice Wednesday, but he's trending in the right direction. With Tyler Herro (toe) already ruled out, Powell is likely to see increased usage Thursday.

Heat's Norman Powell: Listed as questionable
Powell (calf) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Nets.
Powell was unable to practice Wednesday due to left calf tightness. The issue sounds somewhat minor, but Thursday's game is the front end of a back-to-back set and the Heat may proceed with caution. Tyler Herro (toe) has already been ruled out, so Powell could soak up extra usage if he's able to give it a go.

Heat's Norman Powell: Sits out practice
Powell did not practice Wednesday due to calf tightness, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
This appears to be a new issue for Powell, and it's not great news for a Miami team that already has plenty of injury concerns -- Tyler Herro (toe) and Nikola Jovic (elbow) both missed practice as well. The Heat play the first game of a back-to-back set Thursday against the Nets, and you have to wonder if a maintenance day could be on the table for Powell.

Heat's Norman Powell: Ties team high in scoring
Powell ended with 20 points (5-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-10 FT), three rebounds and four assists across 34 minutes during Monday's 106-96 loss to the Raptors.
Powell tied for the team lead in points during Monday's low-scoring affair, and his contributions from the foul line helped offset a poor shooting display from the floor. The swingman's usage has held up well since Tyler Herro (toe) made his season debut in late November, with Powell averaging 22.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.6 three-pointers per game in his last seven outings.

Heat's Norman Powell: Paces Miami in loss
Powell posted 21 points (8-19 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, three steals and two assists across 34 minutes in Tuesday's 117-108 loss to the Magic.
Powell didn't deliver his most efficient performance, though he still led Miami in points and triples, albeit in a losing effort. The veteran swingman was productive on both ends of the floor, grabbing at least seven boards for the third time this season while tallying a game-high mark in steals. Powell has scored 18-plus points in five straight games, averaging 25.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals per game during that span.

Heat's Norman Powell: Will play Saturday
Powell (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Kings, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Powell will suit up in the second leg of Miami's back-to-back set after tweaking his left ankle during Friday's loss to the Magic. Over his last five appearances, the veteran swingman has averaged 25.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 31.0 minutes per contest. With Tyler Herro (toe) and Davion Mitchell (groin) sidelined, the Heat will need Powell to take on more scoring and playmaking duties.

Heat's Norman Powell: Expected to play Saturday
Powell (ankle) is probable for Saturday's game against the Kings, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
Powell tweaked his left ankle during Friday's loss to the Magic, but he finished the game, racking up 28 points (9-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 8-11 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one block across 32 minutes, and will likely be back in action during the second half of Miami's back-to-back set. The ankle injury caused the veteran to miss Wednesday's loss in Dallas, so while it appears to be a minor issue, it's something worth monitoring.
