  • Frank Kaminsky: No longer with Phoenix

The Suns waived Kaminsky on Saturday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Kaminsky signed with the Suns midway through training camp to bolster the team's frontcourt depth, but he was unable to crack the roster. Expect the eight-year veteran to pursue opportunities elsewhere, and a return to Europe might not be out of the question. Kaminsky has averaged 8.8 points per game and shot 35 percent from three-point range in eight NBA seasons.

  • Suns' Frank Kaminsky: Joining Phoenix on camp deal

Kaminsky agreed to a training camp contract with the Suns on Thursday, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. Kaminsky spent the 2023-24 campaign with Servian club KK Partizan, but he'll compete for a roster spot with the Suns ahead of the 2024-25 season. He spent three years in Phoenix earlier in his career, averaging 9.0 points and 4.4 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game over 95 regular-season appearances.

  • Rockets' Frank Kaminsky: Rare appearance in loss

Kaminsky accumulated two points (1-1 FG), one rebound and one assist in four minutes during Sunday's 134-109 loss to the Lakers. The Rockets dusted off Kaminsky in what was their eighth loss in the past nine games. Since arriving in Houston following the trade deadline, Kaminsky has made only eight appearances, five of which came in the first six games. He is obviously not a part of what the Rockets are building, meaning he is on the outside looking in when it comes to playing time.

  • Rockets' Frank Kaminsky: Off injury report

Kaminsky (migraine) is not on the injury report for Sunday's matchup against the Cavaliers. Kaminsky's availability won't affect the rotation. He hasn't played since March 7.

  • Rockets' Frank Kaminsky: Listed as out Friday

Kaminsky (migraine) won't against the Grizzlies on Friday. Kaminsky isn't a regular in the rotation, so his absence shouldn't affect Houston's plans.

  • Rockets' Frank Kaminsky: Listed as questionable

Kaminsky is questionable for Friday's game against the Grizzlies due to migraines. Kaminsky isn't a regular part of Houston's rotation, so his potential absence shouldn't impact fantasy hoops.

  • Rockets' Frank Kaminsky: Listed as available

Kaminsky is available to make his Rockets debut Friday against the Heat. The Rockets acquired Kaminsky and Justin Holiday from Atlanta on Thursday, and both be available to debut for their new team Friday. The Wisconsin product will likely be competing with Usman Garuba for the top backup spot behind Alperen Sengun at center. Even if Kaminsky leapfrogs Garuba on the depth chart, he likely won't garner a large enough role to gain fantasy relevancy.

  • Rockets' Frank Kaminsky: Heading to Houston

Kaminsky and Justin Holiday were traded from the Hawks to the Rockets on Thursday in exchange for Garrison Mathews and Bruno Fernando, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Kaminsky hasn't been a consistent part of Atlanta's rotation in recent weeks, but he'll join a last-place Rockets squad that will likely prioritize the development of Jabari Smith and Alperen Sengun late in the year. Kaminsky averaged just 2.7 points in 6.8 minutes per game with the Hawks, but even if he sees a slight uptick in playing time with the Rockets, he's unlikely to be a fantasy-relevant option.

  • Hawks' Frank Kaminsky: One minute of garbage time

Kaminsky finished with one assist in one minute during Friday's 139-124 win over the Knicks. Kaminsky saw the floor for the first time in almost a week, playing just over a minute in garbage time. Clint Capela was out for a period of time with a calf injury, but the former Wisconsin standout could barely crack the rotation even then. With Capela back, Kaminsky holds even less value in fantasy.

  • Hawks' Frank Kaminsky: Deemed available for Friday

Kaminsky (foot) is available for Friday's game against the Nuggets, Brad Rowland of Locked On Hawks reports. Kaminsky was deemed questionable for Friday's game due to a right foot sprain but will ultimately suit up. However, he's unlikely to garner a significant role with Clint Capela and Onyeka Okongwu both healthy and available.

  • Hawks' Frank Kaminsky: Flagged as questionable Friday

Kaminsky is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Nuggets due to a right foot sprain, Brad Rowland of Locked on Hawks reports. Kaminsky has seen more minutes than usual over the past four games but still has reached double digits just once so far this season. He could cross that threshold again Friday if he suits up and Clint Capela (ankle) can't go, especially when that would be added to multiple other recent injuries for the Hawks.

  • Hawks' Frank Kaminsky: Logs season-high 13 minutes

Kaminsky ended Saturday's 121-109 loss to the 76ers with six points (3-3 FG), three rebounds and one assist in 13 minutes. Kaminsky saw increased minutes in the loss due to the fact Onyeka Okongwu was ruled out due to personal reasons. Prior to this game, Kaminsky had logged a grand total of 14 minutes all season, clarifying where he fits in the rotation. Simply put, there are no moves to be made here, even in deeper fantasy formats.

  • Hawks' Frank Kaminsky: Logs six minutes in brutal loss

Kaminsky chipped in four points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound and one assist across six minutes during Monday's 139-109 loss to the Raptors. Kaminsky saw action for just the second time this season, logging a handful of minutes in garbage time. On most nights, Kaminsky is not going to feature in the rotation. He can put up limited value when handed sufficient playing time but based on the sample size thus far, those opportunities will be few and far between.

  • Hawks' Frank Kaminsky: Could make Hawks debut

Kaminsky (knee) will be available to play in Thursday's preseason game against the Bucks in Abu Dhabi, Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com reports. Kaminsky had been recovering from knee surgery that ended his 2021-22 season. However, with only Bogdan Bogdanovic (kneecap), Trent Forrest (illness) and Jalen Johnson (illness) being out for Thursday's game, Kaminsky will have the opportunity to make his Hawks debut. In nine games with the Suns last season, he averaged 10.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.8 blocks in 20.1 minutes.

  • Hawks' Frank Kaminsky: Joining Atlanta

Kaminsky (knee) and the Hawks agreed to a one-year, minimum contract Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Kaminsky played just nine games for the Suns last year before suffering a knee injury that required surgery in early January and ended his season. With the Hawks, he should see depth minutes in the frontcourt as a floor-spacing big.

  • Frank Kaminsky: Let go by Phoenix

Kaminsky (knee) was waived by the Suns on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Kaminsky underwent knee surgery in January, and there's seemingly not much of a chance he would recover in time for the playoffs. So, the Suns opted to let him go, presumably to bring in someone able to contribute.

  • Suns' Frank Kaminsky: Spotted shooting at practice

Kaminsky (knee) was seen taking part in stationary shooting drills during Sunday's practice, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. The activity is a small sign of progress for Kaminsky, who has been out since mid-November with a stress reaction of his right knee and is without a timeline for a return. Bourguet notes that Kaminsky was limited to taking jumpers off his non-injured left foot, so until he's able to incorporate more running into the mix, his return shouldn't be viewed as imminent.

  • Suns' Frank Kaminsky: Out indefinitely

Kaminsky (knee) is out indefinitely, according to Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com. Kaminsky was diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right knee. The Suns have no adequate injury return date, so they must rely on Deandre Ayton and JaVale McGee to be healthy until further notice.

  • Suns' Frank Kaminsky: Out vs. Nuggets

Kaminsky (knee) is out against the Nuggets on Sunday. Kaminsky will have sat out three games because of ongoing soreness concerning his right knee.

  • Suns' Frank Kaminsky: Remains out Friday

Kaminsky (knee) will not play Friday against the Mavs. A sore right knee kept Kaminsky out of Wednesday's contest -- also against Dallas -- and he'll miss a second straight game Friday. Kaminsky had a solid run as a DFS flier when Deandre Ayton was sidelined with a lower-leg injury, but with Ayton now back in the fold, Kaminsky is not a fantasy consideration in most formats.
