Coach Darko Rajakovic said Friday that Olynyk (back) is a few weeks away from returning, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
Olynyk has yet to suit up this season while dealing with a back strain. The veteran forward will remain sidelined for a few more weeks, with mid-November being the earliest he is expected to suit up. In Olynyk's absence, Jonathan Mogbo, Bruno Fernando and Chris Boucher should all continue to receive increased playing time.

Olynyk tallied 10 points (3-6 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds and three assists across 12 minutes during Sunday's 125-98 preseason win over the Wizards.
Olynyk was one of seven Raptors players to score in double digits Sunday. The 2013 first-round pick was traded by the Jazz to the Raptors at the trade deadline during the 2023-24 season. Across his 28 regular-season games (19 starts) with Toronto, he averaged 12.7 points on 54.8 percent shooting, 5.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals over 26.4 minutes per game. Olynyk will likely be the first big man off the bench for the Raptors for the upcoming season.
