  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Questionable for Saturday

Nurkic (toe) is questionable for Saturday's game versus the Hornets. Nurkic sat out the second leg of a back-to-back set with the toe issue Thursday, which resulted in Kevin Love drawing the start, while Kyle Anderson was able to get into the rotation. It'll be more of the same if Nurkic needs to miss Saturday's game, but we'll have a better idea on Nurkic's status based on his activity level at shootaround.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Iffy for Thursday

Nurkic (toe) is questionable for Thursday's game against Dallas. Thursday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, and if recent back-to-backs have been any indication, Nurkic could be due for a maintenance day. During Wednesday's loss to the Thunder, Nurkic had 15 points (6-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals over 33 minutes. Kyle Filipowski could see increased minutes Thursday if Nurkic is held out.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Big stat line in close loss

Nurkic racked up 15 points (6-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals over 33 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 129-125 overtime loss to the Thunder. Nurkic recorded his 10th double-double of the year, loading up the whole box score Wednesday. The veteran center has averaged a productive 15.9 points, 11.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.0 steals in 30.0 minutes per contest across his last nine games, shooting an efficient 60.9 percent from the field as well.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Returns with double-double in loss

Nurkic ended with 21 points (9-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Monday's 137-117 loss to the Trail Blazers. Nurkic logged 31 minutes and showed no ill effects from the toe injury that forced a two-game absence. The Jazz lost two games without his frontcourt presence, and his solid total wasn't enough to overcome the Trail Blazers' scoring onslaught, as the team dropped its fourth consecutive contest.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Available for Monday

Nurkic (toe) is available for Monday's game against Portland, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Nurkic, who has missed the past two games for Utah, was able to shed his questionable tag this time around. With this news, Kyle Filipowski should shift to the bench for Utah. Nurkic is averaging 18.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.8 three-pointers over his last four appearances.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Iffy for Monday

Nurkic (toe) is questionable for Monday's game against Portland. Nurkic will carry a questionable tag into his second straight game as he continues to deal with a toe sprain on his left foot. The veteran center has already missed a pair of contests due to the issue. Another absence would likely allow Kyle Filipowski to remain in the starting lineup.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Out again Saturday

Nurkic (toe) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Golden State. Nurkic will miss a second straight game due to a sprained toe on his left foot. Kyle Filipowski will likely draw another start Saturday night, while Kevin Love could see a bump in minutes. Nurkic's next chance to play will come Monday at Portland.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Questionable to play Saturday

Nurkic (toe) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Warriors. Nurkic was unable to play against the Clippers on Thursday due to a left toe sprain, but the veteran big man has a chance to return for Saturday's road contest. Kyle Filipowski would figure to start at center for a second consecutive game if Nurkic is unable to play.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Won't suit up Thursday

Nurkic will not play Thursday against the Clippers with a toe sprain. This injury comes out of nowhere, with the Jazz submitting a lengthy injury report. Kevin Love is being held out for rest, and Lauri Markkanen (knee) is questionable to play. Both Kyle Filipowski and Taylor Hendricks could be heavily involved Thursday.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Logs season high in scoring

Nurkic finished Tuesday's 129-119 loss to the Celtics with 26 points (10-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds and eight assists in 34 minutes. Nurkic turned in an extremely efficient performance en route to a season-high 26 points. He also knocked down multiple triples for a second consecutive contest, and he has hit two triples in four of his 29 regular-season appearances. The big man didn't just impress in the scoring column. He dished out a team-high-tying eight assists, recording at least eight rebounds and eight assists for the third time on the campaign. Nurkic has scored in double figures in four straight appearances, during which he has averaged 18.8 points, 10.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 31.8 minutes per contest.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Shines with double-double

Nurkic totaled 16 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal across 32 minutes during Friday's 131-129 win over the Pistons. The veteran center faced a tough challenge opposite Jalen Duren, but Nurkic effectively neutralized him in the upset win. Although Nurkic has missed three games this month, he's come up big in some key moments. Still, consistency remains a big problem for the big man. He's alternated between double-doubles and dreadful totals quite often, and although his rebound totals usually come close to or exceed double digits frequently, his scoring totals haven't experienced the same success.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Omitted from injury report

Nurkic (rest) isn't listed on Utah's injury report for Friday's game in Detroit. Nurkic is slated to return to action after resting during the second leg of a back-to-back set against Memphis on Tuesday. He's missed three games in December, but Nurkic continues to be productive when available, averaging 11.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 0.7 steals in 25.6 minutes per game.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Strong line in loss

Nurkic notched 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 14 rebounds and six assists across 35 minutes during Monday's 135-112 loss to the Nuggets. Nurkic put up a very strong performance against his former teammate in Nikola Jokic. Apart from some woeful free-throw shooting this season (49.3 percent), Nurkic has put together some decent stats with averages of 8.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.4 three-pointers in 24.8 minutes per contest.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Returns with 15 points

Nurkic produced 15 points (5-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-11 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Thursday's 143-135 loss to the Lakers. Nurkic's return from a one-game absence allowed Lauri Markkanen's (groin) to take a night off for injury management, but the Jazz needed more interior contributions to keep things competitive with the Lakers. Nurkic had the opportunity to exploit an interior playing without Deandre Ayton, and he fared well with eight boards. Ultimately, Nurkic's poor performance at the charity stripe played a major role in the final result. He converted only four of 11 attempts at the free-throw line, dropping his season percentage to an abysmal 48.5 percent.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Will rest Monday

Nurkic (rest) will not play Monday against Dallas, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports. This is simply a maintenance day for Utah's starting center. He'll likely be back in the lineup Thursday against the Lakers. With Nurkic resting, players such as Kevin Love, Kyle Filipowski and Taylor Hendricks could be more involved for the Jazz.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Comes close to triple-double

Nurkic ended with 13 points (6-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 17 rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal across 28 minutes during Friday's 130-126 victory over the Grizzlies. Nurkic was efficient with his shot, active on the glass and decisive as a passer, ending just three assists away from recording what would've been his first triple-double of the season. The 17 boards were a season-high mark for the veteran big man, and this was his sixth double-double of the season. Nurkic is firmly entrenched as the Jazz's starting center, and he figures to continue putting up solid numbers across the board as long as he sees regular playing time.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Available Friday

Nurkic (ribs) is available for Friday's game against the Knicks, Ben Anderson of KSL News Salt Lake City reports. After missing Thursday's win over Brooklyn due to a right rib contusion, Nurkic will return for the second leg of the team's back-to-back. With the veteran big man back in action, Kyle Filipowski will likely retreat to the bench. Over his last five appearances, Nurkic has averaged 12.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 24.8 minutes per game.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Iffy for Friday

Nurkic (ribs) is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks. Nurkic missed the front end of this back-to-back set due to a rib contusion, allowing Kyle Filipowski to draw a start. The same situation could unfold Friday, as it's unclear how severe Nurkic's injury is. Thursday's absence was the first of the season for Nurkic.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Ruled out Thursday

Nurkic (ribs) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Nets. Utah will hold Nurkic out of the front end of a back-to-back set after he picked up a rib contusion. Kyle Filipowski should be the main beneficiary, while Taylor Hendricks and Kyle Anderson are also candidates for increased minutes given Nurkic's absence.

  • Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Questionable for Thursday

Nurkic is questionable for Thursday's game in Brooklyn due to a right rib contusion. Thursday's game will be the first of a back-to-back, so there's certainly a chance Nurkic will skip that one. If he does need a day off, there will be more minutes available for Taylor Hendricks, Kyle Filipowski and Kyle Anderson.
