Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Serviceable two-way effort
Diabate produced seven points (3-8 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 103-101 victory over Portland.
Diabate continues to deliver important contributions on both ends of the floor. While his scoring remains modest, to say the least, his ability to rebound at a high rate while adding consistent defensive numbers makes him a clear must-roster player. In seven appearances over the past two weeks, he has put up top-75 value in standard leagues, averaging 8.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.0 combined steals and blocks.

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Struggles mightily in loss
Diabate notched two points (1-4 FG), four rebounds, two assists and four blocks in 27 minutes during Sunday's 111-99 loss to the Suns.
Diabate swatted four balls, but that was the highlight of his stat line. Ryan Kalkbrenner recorded 19 minutes and had a much better line than Diabate. It will be interesting to see which center the Hornets prefer more as they make a playoff push. The tight battle for playing time limits the fantasy viability of both players.

Diabate continues to shine as Charlotte's starting center. Meanwhile, rookie Ryan Kalkbrenner has had to settle for a role with minutes in the teens off the bench. With Charlotte eyeing a playoff spot, Diabate's role appears to be locked in.

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Second straight double-double
Diabate supplied 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds and five assists across 33 minutes during Saturday's 109-93 victory over Portland.
The fourth-year center recorded his second straight double-double and his 16th of the season. Diabate was suspended for four games in February, and his production when he was on the court was very matchup-dependent -- over seven appearances on the month, he averaged just 8.0 points, 10.1 boards and 3.1 assists in 28.9 minutes.

Diabate finished Tuesday's 131-99 win over the Bulls with nine points (4-4 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals in 31 minutes.
Diabate played his first game since Feb. 9 after serving a four-game suspension for an altercation with the Pistons, and he didn't miss a beat. After playing 31 minutes in a massive win, it's safe to assume Diabate maintains a grip on the starting center role in Charlotte.

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Suspended four games
Diabate was suspended four games for his altercation during Monday's game against Detroit, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Miles Bridges was also suspended for four games, with both players eligible to return Feb. 24 against the Bulls. In Diabate's absence, Ryan Kalkbrenner will likely be asked to step into the starting role, and he'll offer a lot of upside in fantasy for the short term.

Diabate was ejected during the third quarter of Monday's game against the Pistons, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports. He'll exit with no points (0-1 FG) and six rebounds over 19 minutes.
Diabate was involved in a heated altercation at the 7:09 mark of the third quarter that also included teammate Miles Bridges and opponents Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart, with all four players ejected. It remains to be seen whether additional discipline will follow, but for the remainder of Monday's game, Ryan Kalkbrenner will take on increased responsibilities at center.

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Not playing Saturday
Diabate (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Warriors.
Diabate popped up on Friday's injury report due to right hamstring soreness. The injury will prevent him from playing Saturday, but he could return for the second leg of the Hornets' back-to-back set Sunday against the Nuggets. With Diabate sidelined, Ryan Kalkbrenner will likely enter the Hornets' starting five, while Grant Williams and PJ Hall are candidates to see extended minutes as well.

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Questionable for Saturday
Diabate is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Warriors due to right hamstring soreness.
The hamstring issue is a new concern for Diabate, who has been a regular on the injury report so far this month due to hip and wrist injuries. If the big man is not cleared to play in the front end of this back-to-back set, Ryan Kalkbrenner would likely step into the starting five, while PJ Hall could enter the Charlotte rotation.
