  • Miles Kelly: Let go by Dallas

The Mavericks waived Kelly on Sunday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. The move corresponds with the Mavericks signing Tyler Smith and John Poulakidas to two-way contracts. Kelly has spent most of the 2025-26 season in the G League with the Texas Legends, but he saw extended action for the Mavericks in their 124-105 loss to the Grizzlies on Friday, when he logged nine points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block over 31 minutes. Kelly could remain with the organization in the G League if he clears waivers.

  • Mavericks' Miles Kelly: Goes scoreless in win

Kelly provided one rebound and one assist in two minutes during Monday's 114-97 win over the Knicks. Kelly remained in the rotation, playing for the sixth straight game after seeing the court just twice through the first six weeks of the season. It's always good to see young players trying to make a name for themselves, although at this point, there is no reason to consider him a viable fantasy asset.

Kelly recorded 14 points (5-12 FG, 4-10 3Pt), one rebound and one steal in 12 minutes of Monday's 114-101 preseason win over the Jazz. Kelly, who is on a two-way contract with the Mavericks, excelled in limited minutes off the bench Monday. Through three exhibitions, the guard is averaging 7.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.7 three-pointers on 36.8 percent shooting from the field in 12.8 minutes per contest.

  • Mavericks' Miles Kelly: Posts 11 points in SL loss

Kelly supplied 11 points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, two steals and one block over 27 minutes in Saturday's 76-69 Summer League loss to the Spurs. Kelly followed up his 17-point Summer League debut Thursday with a quieter outing Saturday, though he still connected on a pair of three-pointers. The Auburn product joined the Mavericks on a two-way contract after going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft. He averaged 11.3 points while shooting 40.6 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from three over 38 games during the 2024-25 season.

  • Mavericks' Miles Kelly: Joining Mavs

Kelly agreed to a two-way contract with Dallas on Thursday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Kelly turned in a solid college resume, finishing out his final season at Auburn by averaging 11.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 38 appearances. He showed improvement with his touch from downtown after hitting at a clip of 32.1 percent during the 2023-24 season and also got better at the charity stripe, where he hit 90.9 percent of his tries in 2024-25.
