Minott played the final 4:39 of Wednesday's 117-106 loss to the Hawks, finishing with five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and one rebound.
The Celtics were shorthanded in the frontcourt Wednesday with Neemias Queta (illness) sitting out, but his absence didn't open up room in the rotation for Minott, who had been cleared to return to action earlier this week after missing 10 straight games while recovering from an ankle sprain. Boston got by with a combination of Luka Garza and Amari Williams at center while the game was competitive before Minott checked in for the first time late in the fourth quarter, when Atlanta had built an 18-point lead to effectively salt the game away.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Ruled out for Wednesday
Rotowire
Minott is out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers with a sprained left ankle.
Minott is on the shelf for an eighth straight contest. In his absence, Luka Garza is cementing himself as the primary backup center behind starter Neemias Queta and is worth a look as a streamer in deeper fantasy leagues.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Drops out of rotation
Rotowire
Minott (coach's decision) went unused off the bench in Sunday's 114-108 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Minott had appeared in 27 of the Celtics' first 28 games of the season and averaged 6.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.1 three-pointers and 0.8 steals in 18.1 minutes per contest, but he appears to have lost his foothold in the Boston rotation. He's now failed to get off the bench in two straight contests, with head coach Joe Mazzulla turning to Sam Hauser, Hugo Gonzalez and Luka Garza to serve as the team's main backup options in the frontcourt.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Cleared to play
Rotowire
Minott (back) has been cleared to play for Friday's game against the Heat, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Muted performance in loss
Rotowire
Minott racked up seven points (2-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and two steals over 22 minutes during Thursday's 116-101 loss to Milwaukee.
After generating some buzz early on this season, Minott has since been overshadowed by the emergence of Jordan Walsh. Across 24 regular-season appearances, Minott holds averages of 7.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 19.2 minutes per contest.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Bump in minutes in win
Rotowire
Minott chipped in 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six rebounds and one block over 27 minutes during Tuesday's 123-117 victory over the Knicks.
Minott's role has fluctuated dramatically this year, making him an unreliable fantasy asset. The 27 minutes were his most since Nov. 5. He has the tools to be an effective nine-category asset, but Minott has averaged just 7.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 19.2 minutes per contest over 20 games this season, and the Celtics don't appear to trust him with consistent minutes.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Not starting after all
Rotowire
Minott is not in the Celtics' starting lineup against the Nets on Tuesday.
Contrary to a previous report, Minott will remain in a reserve role while Jordan Walsh remains in the starting lineup for a third consecutive game. Minott has seen his playing time fluctuate regardless of his role, so his usage during Tuesday's game may come down to matchups and flow. He has averaged 7.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.9 steals over 18.8 minutes per game since Nov. 1.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Headed to bench
Rotowire
Minott will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Minott had been trending down the past three games, and he bottomed out Tuesday, logging a season-low eight minutes. It'll be interesting to see what his minutes look like in the reserve role Wednesday evening, but he's no longer a must-roster player in 12-team formats.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Drops season-high 21 points
Rotowire
Minott finished with 21 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and three steals across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 136-107 win over Washington.
Minott dominated in the win, scoring a season-high 21 points, once again putting himself on the standard league radar. Despite starting the past six games, his playing time continues to frustrate fantasy managers. This was obviously an encouraging performance, but the opponent likely had something to do with that. He could be worth taking a flier on, just in case this leads to some consistent production.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Grabs eight rebounds in win
Rotowire
Minott contributed two points (0-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one block over 22 minutes during Friday's 109-108 win over the 76ers.
While Minott was invisible on offense in this one, he was still Boston's leading rebounder and helped the Celtics win the rebounding battle 45-40. The offense may come and go, but he should be consistent with the hustle stats and looks to be locked in as a starter, which will maintain his value in deep leagues.

Celtics' Josh Minott: Scores 15 points with nine boards
Rotowire
Minott amassed 15 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Monday's 122-90 win over the Pelicans.
The Celtics came into Monday night's game ranked as the second-worst rebounding team in the league, but they completely flipped the script on that narrative in this one, out-rebounding the Pelicans 54-35. Minott was a big reason why they won the battle of the boards, and he also finished with an insane plus/minus rating of plus-42, so he certainly made a case to stick as a starter. It'll be interesting to see what lineup Joe Mazzulla trots out for Wednesday's game against the Cavs.
