  • Pacers' Ethan Thompson: Scores 17 points in loss

Thompson supplied 17 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-10 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 124-104 loss to the Timberwolves. Thompson has been one of several role players who have been experiencing an uptick in playing time for the Pacers, but he hasn't done much with increased minutes. He's started in four of his last five appearances dating back to March 29, but he's averaging just 10.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists on 26.2 minutes per game over that stretch. He might merit some consideration in deep formats because he's been starting regularly, but he doesn't carry a ton of fantasy upside overall.

  • Pacers' Ethan Thompson: Starting again versus Cleveland

Thompson will start in Sunday's game against Cleveland, Tony East of Forbes.com reports. The Pacers won't have any of their usual starters Sunday, allowing Thompson to re-enter the starting lineup for the third time in the last four games. In eight starts during the 2025-26 campaign, the 26-year-old has averaged 9.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.5 blocks and 1.0 steals in 27.9 minutes.

Thompson won't start Friday's game against Charlotte, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports. With Ben Sheppard entering the starting five, Thompson will retreat to the second unit. The two-way player has averaged 4.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.1 minutes per game over 18 appearances off the bench this season.

  • Pacers' Ethan Thompson: Starting Sunday

Thompson is in the Pacers' starting lineup against the Heat on Sunday, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Thompson will make his first NBA appearance since March 12, when he also started against the Suns and logged 11 points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 38 minutes. He'll join Andrew Nembhard, Quenton Jackson, Jalen Slawson and Pascal Siakam in the starting lineup for Sunday's contest.

  • Pacers' Ethan Thompson: Sitting out Tuesday

The Pacers have ruled out Thompson (two-way) for Tuesday's game against the Knicks. Though he logged 38 minutes in a spot start in last Thursday's loss to the Suns, Thompson will now find himself on the inactive list for the third game in a row. After he signed a two-way contract with the Pacers on Nov. 30, Thompson is eligible to suit up for 39 games at the NBA level, and he's already been active on 30 occasions. As such, Thompson will be available to play in nine of the Pacers' remaining 13 contests after Tuesday.

  • Pacers' Ethan Thompson: Entering starting lineup

Thompson is starting Thursday's game against the Suns, Tony East of Forbes.com reports. Thompson is drawing his sixth start of the year for the banged-up Pacers on Thursday. • Pacers' Ethan Thompson: Not playing Friday

Thompson (two-way) is listed out for Friday's game against the Wizards. Thompson received 27 minutes in both of the Pacers' past two games, but because he's eligible to suit up for just 10 more contests at the NBA level over the rest of the season while he's signed to a two-way deal, Indiana will hold him out Friday in an afford to preserve some of his availability down the stretch. Fellow two-way player Quenton Jackson was inactive for Thursday's loss to Washington, but he'll suit up Friday and will likely end up absorbing most of Thompson's vacated minutes.

  • Pacers' Ethan Thompson: Well-rounded outing in win

Thompson tallied 15 points (6-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and three steals across 27 minutes in Wednesday's 115-110 win over the Nets. A two-way player, Thompson joined the banged-up Pacers for the second half of their back-to-back set and made an impact. The 26-year-old guard recorded a career-high 15 points and was one of six Indiana players to score in double figures. He also set a new career high in steals, grabbing multiple swipes for the third time this season. While Thompson shouldn't be expected to enter the rotation on a regular basis, he may continue to play a role for the parent club whenever it sits key contributors.

  • Pacers' Ethan Thompson: Heading to bench vs. Celtics

Thompson is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Boston. Thompson is ceding his starting role to Quenton Jackson in the backcourt. Over five reserve outings in 2025-26, Thompson has averaged 4.0 points, 1.2 assists and 0.8 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per game.

He's averaging 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in three appearances as a starter this season.

  • Pacers' Ethan Thompson: Muted performance in loss

Thompson notched two points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two assists across 24 minutes during Sunday's 108-89 loss to the Wizards. With Quenton Jackson likely to earn a larger role on this team, Thompson's minutes could be in danger moving forward, especially after a dud like this one. Through six regular-season appearances, Thompson has posted averages of 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.5 steals on 42.3 percent shooting from the field.

Thompson impressed during Friday's win over Chicago, recording 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 34 minutes.

  • Ethan Thompson: Waived Friday

The Heat waived Thompson on Friday, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Thompson was on an Exhibit 10 deal with Miami, but he failed to make much of an impact with the club throughout training camp and the preseason. The 26-year-old guard will likely head to the G League.

  • Heat's Ethan Thompson: Dishes six dimes in preseason loss

Thompson finished Saturday's 126-118 preseason loss to Orlando with five points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, three rebounds and two steals over 27 minutes. Thompson wasn't efficient from the field, but he contributed on offense in other ways and led both teams with six dimes. Thompson spent the 2024-25 season in the G League with the Osceola Magic, averaging 17.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals over 33.5 minutes per game in 47 contests.

  • Ethan Thompson: Big role off bench in win

Thompson supplied nine points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block across 30 minutes in Windy City's 114-93 win over Maine on Sunday. Thompson comfortably paced the second unit in playing time and even outgained starters Dalen Terry and Henri Drell in the process. The 23-year-old did see a nine-game streak of double-digit scoring efforts snapped, but he still found his way to a serviceable collective fantasy line thanks to contributions in other categories.

Thompson dominated the fourth quarter by scoring 16 points -- including going 6-for-6 from the free-throw line -- as Windy City held on for the victory. The strong performance ended a three-game streak of poor shooting for the 23-year-old. He's averaging 20.3 points per game while making 45.9 percent of his threes through 11 games.

Thompson dominated the second half, scoring 23 of his 34 points and going 8-for-12 from the field. After a decent Showcase, he's turned it up a notch in the regular season and is averaging 28.3 points while making 58.3 percent of his shots and 55.0 percent of his three-pointers in the first three games.
