  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Modest production in start

Dunn ended Sunday's 127-118 overtime loss to the Kings with eight points (4-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds, one block and one steal in 21 minutes. Dunn returned to action following a one-game absence due to an ankle injury, and with Kevin Durant (ankle) sidelined, the rookie was thrust into a starting role. However, Dunn failed to capitalize on his third career start, as Royce O'Neale (28) and Grayson Allen (27) played more minutes off the bench. Regardless, with Durant sidelined for at least a few weeks, Dunn should maintain an increased role even if he moves to the bench, especially if Bradley Beal (knee) is forced to miss time.

  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Starting Sunday

Dunn is in the Suns' starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Kings. Dunn missed Friday's game against the Mavericks due to an ankle injury. Not only was he cleared to return Sunday, but he will also be inserted into Phoenix's starting five due to Kevin Durant (calf) being sidelined, while Royce O'Neale will continue to come off the bench. Through eight regular-season games (including two starts), Dunn is averaging 6.8 points and 2.3 rebounds over 15.9 minutes per game.

  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Available Sunday

Dunn (ankle) is available for Sunday's game against the Kings. As expected, Dunn will return to action Sunday after missing his first game of the season Friday due to an ankle injury. The rookie's playing time and production have been sporadic, but he's averaged 6.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 15.8 minutes over eight appearances (two starts).

  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Full participant in practice

Coach Mike Budenholzer said Dunn (ankle) fully participated in Saturday's practice and is expected to play in Sunday's game versus the Kings, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Dunn missed his first game of the season Friday due to an ankle injury but is expected to return to action against Sacramento. If Dunn is able to suit up, he should continue to be one of Phoenix's primary bench options in their forward rotation.

  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Out Friday

Dunn (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Mavericks, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports. The 21-year-old was considered doubtful for Friday's contest after suffering an ankle sprain Wednesday against Miami, so it's not a surprise he won't be available in Dallas. Dunn's next chance to take the court will come Sunday versus the Kings, but he could miss more time given the recency of the injury.

  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Diagnosed with ankle sprain

Dunn ended with seven points (2-2 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one assist over nine minutes during Wednesday's 115-112 win over Miami. He left the contest in the fourth quarter with a sprained left ankle and did not return, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. Dunn limped back to the locker room late in Wednesday's contest and did not return. While he's set to undergo further testing Thursday, he received an initial diagnosis of a sprained left ankle. The 21-year-old rookie has been a quality addition to the Suns rotation, and he's shooting 13-for-33 (39.4 percent) from three-point range after being considered a non-shooter in college. If he's forced to miss time, expect Royce O'Neale and Grayson Allen to pick up the slack. Dunn's next chance to play comes Friday at Dallas.

Dunn limped back to the locker room during Wednesday's game against the Heat for undisclosed reasons, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. It's unclear when Dunn suffered the injury, but it forced him back to the locker room. While he's idle, Royce O'Neale and Grayson Allen could see more minutes.

  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Back to bench Saturday

Dunn is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Portland. Dunn was in the starting five against the Clippers on Thursday, and he finished with 16 points, four rebounds and one steal across 34 minutes. He'll retreat to the bench for Saturday's game as Bradley Beal (elbow) returns.

  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Fills in with 16 points

Dunn amassed 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-9 3Pt), four rebounds and one steal across 34 minutes during Thursday's 125-119 victory over the Clippers. With Bradley Beal (elbow) out, Dunn got his second start of the season. The Virginia product was expected to be more of a development player, but he's already making an impact, especially on defense. He's versatile enough to fill in at multiple positions, and his 6-6 frame is deceiving thanks to a huge wingspan. Dunn's results are bad news for those who drafted Grayson Allen, as his role will be compromised if Dunn sees steady improvement.

  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Gets starting nod

Dunn is starting Thursday's game against the Clippers. Dunn will draw the start at small forward in place of Bradley Beal, who was ruled out with a sprained left elbow. Dunn put together a decent performance in his first career NBA start Saturday against the Mavs, recording 13 points, one rebound and one assist in 21 minutes.

  • Suns' Ryan Dunn: Dealing with knee soreness

Dunn won't play in Saturday's game against the Kings due to left knee soreness, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. Dunn will sit out the Suns' final Summer League game due to pain in his left knee. The injury likely won't impact his training camp availability. The No. 28 overall pick in this year's draft flashed his defensive abilities during Summer League and is considered one of the best defenders in the 2024 rookie class.
