Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Pops for 19 in loss
Coulibaly finished with 19 points (8-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt), five rebounds, six assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Sunday's 112-98 loss to Boston.
The streaky second-year wing is on the upswing again. After scoring no more than eight points in six straight games in late November and early December, Coulibaly has hit for at least 17 in three straight contests, averaging 21.0 points, 5.3 boards, 5.0 assists, 3.0 threes and 1.0 blocks over that short stretch. Coulibaly's overall production has taken a step forward in his sophomore campaign, but a true breakout will keep eluding him until he develops some consistency.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Matches career high with 27 points
Coulibaly totaled 27 points (10-18 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, five assists and two blocks across 40 minutes during Friday's 115-105 loss to Cleveland.
It was an exceptional showing by Coulibaly, who matched his career-high scoring figure with a game-high 27 points as Washington went toe-to-toe with Cleveland on Friday. It appears Coulibaly is getting back on track following a dreadful cold spell that saw him shoot a mere 17.6 percent from the field over six games from Nov. 26 to Dec. 7, as the 20-year-old forward has now scored 17 and 27 points, respectively, in his past two outings. The 3-20 Wizards should remain committed to a starting role for the 2023 No. 7 overall pick amid his growing pains, and Coulibaly remains a strong source of defensive stats for fantasy managers alongside decent production across the board while handling big minutes.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Posts solid line in loss
Coulibaly contributed 17 points (6-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 28 minutes during Sunday's 140-112 loss to the Grizzlies.
Coulibaly posted a gem of a fantasy line Sunday -- his first double-digit scoring outing since Nov. 24. Coulibaly began the season hot, averaging 16.3 points on 57.3 percent shooting through his first nine games. Since, he's averaged 8.4 points on 30.8 percent shooting. The truth probably lays somewhere in between. At the very least, he's been a fairly stable source of rebounds (5.4), assists (3.1) and steals (1.7) all season. The sophomore is also shooting a career-high 78.3 percent from the charity stripe.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Rough shooting night in rout
Coulibaly provided four points (0-10 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and three steals over 29 minutes during Thursday's 137-101 loss to the Mavericks.
It was a dreadful showing on offense by Coulibaly, who was totally off the mark Thursday and failed to make a single field goal, but he did record three steals to somewhat salvage his night. While Coulibaly put together an encouraging start to the season, he's now shooting a miserable 21.7 percent from the field and 15.4 percent from downtown over his last seven games, a cold spell in which he's averaging 6.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.7 steals in 34.6 minutes per contest. However, the minutes should remain somewhat high for the 2023 No. 7 overall pick as he tries to find his identity offensively on the reeling Wizards, who have now lost 16 straight games as they continue to rebuild.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Continues to struggle in loss
Coulibaly ended with three points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 121-96 loss to the Clippers.
Following a promising start to the season, Coulibaly is beginning to struggle a bit lately. Over his last eight games, Coulibaly is averaging 9.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting just 39.1 percent from the field. The 20-year-old former No. 7 overall pick is still playing a prominent role in Washington's rotation, however, averaging 35.5 minutes per game during this time. Despite the current cold spell, his disruptive defense and ability to contribute across the board should help him maintain significant minutes for the Wizards moving forward.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Fills stat sheet in loss
Coulibaly finished Sunday's 115-103 loss to the Pacers with 17 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 38 minutes.
This was a terrific showing for Coulibaly, as his breakout season continues. With 14 regular-season games under his belt, he's averaging 14.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.8 blocks, 1.3 steals and 1.1 three-pointers. His ability to contribute to every category has made him a valuable fantasy asset.

In his last five outings, the 20-year-old forward has averaged 12.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks while shooting 57.8 percent from the floor across 34.8 minutes per game.

Coulibaly (head) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Chase Hughes of Monumental Sports Network reports.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Won't play Monday
Coulibaly (head) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Knicks.
Coulibaly will miss his first game of the season due to a head injury he sustained after taking an elbow to the mouth during Sunday's loss to the Pistons. While the second-year wing is sidelined, the good news is he appears to have avoided a concussion and will have multiple days to rest and recover before attempting to suit up Friday versus Boston. In Coulibaly's absence, Corey Kispert, Kyshawn George and Malcolm Brogdon are candidates for increased roles, while Jared Butler and Johnny Davis could enter the rotation as well.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Chance to play Monday
Coulibaly is questionable for Monday's game against the Knicks due to a head injury.
Coulibaly left Sunday's loss to the Pistons early after taking an elbow to the mouth, so it's not surprising to see him on the injury report for Monday. However, the second-year wing appears to have avoided a concussion and will have a chance to suit up Monday. If Coulibaly doesn't play, Corey Kispert, Kyshawn George and Malcolm Brogdon would be candidates for increased roles.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Leaves early with facial injury
Coulibality left Sunday's 124-104 loss to the Pistons early after taking an elbow to the mouth and didn't return, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Coulibaly exited in the fourth quarter, and head coach Brian Keefe said postgame that the second-year wing was just being checked as a precaution after taking an elbow to the face. He finished Sunday's contest with 15 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds and three steals in 26 minutes. Though Coulibaly wasn't able to return to the game, his status for Monday's game against the Knicks doesn't look to be in major jeopardy.

Coulibaly appears to be dealing with a knee injury as he was spotted with tape on his right knee while heading into the locker room, per Bijan Todd of Monumental Sports Network. The Wizards dropped to 2-6 on the season, but Coulibaly continues to be a bright spot with this being his fourth game of the campaign with at least 20 points. He's averaging 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.5 three-pointers per game.

Coulibaly and Jordan Poole were the only Wizards players Saturday to reach the 20-point mark in a game that saw Washington shoot 41.8 percent from the field, including 7-for-35 from three-point range. Coulibaly averaged 8.4 points per game during the 2023-24 regular season, but he's scored 20-plus points in three of his last four outings. He's started the 2024-25 campaign averaging 19.4 points on 60.7 percent shooting (including 47.6 percent from three on 4.2 3PA/G), 6.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals over 34.0 minutes per game.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Career-high 27 points vs. Hawks
Coulibaly accumulated 27 points (11-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 133-120 win over Atlanta.
Just two days after scoring a then career-best 23 points, Coulibaly surpassed that total with 27 points on just 14 field-goal attempts during Wednesday's win. The 2023 first-round pick began his rookie season on the bench, but he steadily saw his role increase and has continued to see more playing time and responsibilities early on in his sophomore year. Through the first four games of the 2024-25 regular season, Coulibaly is averaging 18.8 points on 59.1 percent shooting, 5.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals across 34.0 minutes per contest.

The Wizards exercised the 2025-26 team option on Coulibaly's contract Tuesday, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
After a modest rookie season, Coulibaly is seeing an expanded role to start Year 2. Through three games, he's averaged 16.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals while posting 50/36/81 shooting splits. With the transaction, Coulibaly is under contract through the 2025-26 campaign.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Pops for 23 points in loss
Coulibaly had 23 points (9-16 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes during Saturday's 135-116 loss to the Cavaliers.
While Coulibaly scored only eight points on six shots in the season-opening loss to Boston, the second-year wing made his presence felt elsewhere. He grabbed six boards, dished out six assists and recorded a steal in 30 minutes. Coulibaly didn't have as good of a well-rounded game versus Cleveland, but he found his stroke from deep and was more assertive offensively, tying Kyle Kuzma with a team-high 16 shot attempts. This is an encouraging start for Coulibaly in fantasy, especially considering Washington's first two opponents are considered some of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

Coulibaly (finger) will play in Thursday's game against the Celtics, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.

Coulibaly averaged 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.8 blocks across 27.2 minutes in 63 regular-season games last season, and he could be ready for a larger role in his second campaign, as he was a regular starter at shooting guard during the preseason.
