  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Absent from injury report

George (ankle) is off the injury report for Tuesday's game against Portland. George suffered an ankle injury during Saturday's 119-115 loss to the Hornets, but the issue isn't costing him any additional time. The swingman has averaged 17.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 28.9 minutes per contest in his last eight games.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Exits early Saturday

George didn't return to Saturday's 119-115 loss to the Hornets after sustaining an ankle injury early in the fourth quarter. He finished with 11 points (4-15 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block over 25 minutes. George checked out at the 11:35 mark of the fourth quarter and went to the locker room to have his ankle evaluated by medical staff. He returned to the bench but didn't check back into the game, so his ankle injury could put him in jeopardy of missing Tuesday's game against the Trail Blazers.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Quickly returns to bench

George (ankle) returned to the bench during the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against the Hornets, Ben Strober of 106-7 The Fan Washington reports. George briefly left Saturday's contest after appearing to tweak his left ankle. He's back on the bench after being evaluated by medical staff in the locker room and appears to be available to return.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Exits game with ankle injury

George (ankle) went to the locker room during the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against the Hornets, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports. George appeared to tweak his left ankle after stepping on a Hornets player's foot. He's gone to the locker room to be evaluated by medical staff, so Malaki Branham and Justin Champagnie should see an uptick in playing time for as long as George is out of the game.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Double-double vs. Denver

George posted 20 points (6-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 12 rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 34 minutes during the Wizards' 107-97 loss to the Nuggets on Thursday. It wasn't an efficient night from the field for George, but he still finished Thursday's game as the Wizards' leader in points, rebounds and assists while recording his third double-double of the season (and first since Nov. 22 against the Bulls). George has averaged 21.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2.2 threes and 1.4 steals over 31.2 minutes per game over his last five outings.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Tallies three swipes in loss

George amassed 18 points (6-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, six assists and three steals over 34 minutes during Monday's 110-106 loss to the Clippers. While George didn't deliver his most efficient performance, he turned in a solid all-around outing. The second-year forward finished second on the Wizards in both points and assists while grabbing a team-high-tying six boards. He also led Washington in steals, tallying multiple swipes for the first time since Dec. 18.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Has lackluster scoring night

George chipped in five points (2-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 26 minutes during Sunday's 112-93 loss to the Suns. George struggled with his shooting touch versus Phoenix, sinking only two of his 10 shot attempts. It was only his second outing since returning from a seven-game absence due to a hip injury. For the season, George has been a consistent source of scoring, playmaking and defense. He's led the team in assists so far with an average of 4.9 per game. As he gets back in rhythm, expect his production to return to the pace set thus far.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Drops 15 points in return

George (hip) racked up 15 points (6-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 24 minutes during Friday's 128-107 loss to the Pelicans. Back in action after a seven-game absence due to a left hip flexor strain, George turned in a serviceable performance despite contending with some foul trouble. While the acquisition of Trae Young (quadriceps/knee) could have an impact on George's overall value once Young is ready to play, it's apparent that George is viewed as a key piece of the rebuilding Wizards' immediate and long-term future.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Off injury report for Friday

George (hip) is off the injury report for Friday's game against the Pelicans. George is set to wrap up a seven-game absence with a left hip flexor strain, which is likely to send Tre Johnson back to the bench. Over his last 12 outings, George has averaged 13.1 points, 5.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks in 32.2 minutes per game.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Still out with hip flexor strain

George is out for Tuesday's game against the Magic due to a left hip flexor strain. Head coach Brian Keefe said Sunday that George doesn't have a definitive timetable for a return. That said, it sounds like the 2024 first-rounder can be considered out indefinitely until the Wizards offer more clarity on his recovery. Justin Champagnie, Bub Carrington and Tre Johnson should continue to help pick up the slack.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Remains out for Sunday

George (hip) will not play Sunday against Minnesota. George will miss his fifth game in a row Sunday and remains without a timetable to return. He can be considered highly questionable to face the Magic on Tuesday.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Won't play Wednesday

George is out for Wednesday's game against the Bucks due to a left hip flexor strain. Wednesday will mark a third consecutive absence for George, whose next chance to play arrives Friday against the Nets. His absence should allow each of Bub Carrington, Tre Johnson and perhaps even Justin Champagnie to maintain streaming appeal.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Another absence coming

George (hip) will not play Monday against the Suns. George will end up missing both games of this back-to-back set. The severity of his hip issue remains unclear, leaving his status for Wednesday against the Bucks in the air. Guys like Justin Champagnie, Tre Johnson and Will Riley could be more involved as a result Monday.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Teases triple-double Sunday

George totaled nine points (3-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-3 FT), eight rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Sunday's 108-89 victory over the Pacers. The assists tied his season high, as George came close to his first career triple-double. The second-year wing is still searching for some consistency, but his production has taken a big step forward from his rookie campaign. Over his last 12 games, George is averaging 14.1 points, 5.7 boards, 5.5 assists, 2.5 threes, 1.3 steals and 0.8 blocks in 32.3 minutes.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Strong two-way performance

George posted 15 points (6-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt), six rebounds, seven assists, one block and three steals across 36 minutes during Saturday's 131-116 loss to the Hawks. George continues to build some nice form, having now scored in double figures in three straight games. After a red-hot start to the season, his production has since ebbed and flowed, making him a frustrating fantasy asset. With that said, he remains a clear must-roster player who is capable of contributing across all major categories on any given night. Through 20 regular-season games, he has averaged 15.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.5 three-pointers and 2.0 combined steals-plus-blocks.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Available Tuesday

George (toe) is available for Tuesday's game against the 76ers. Despite being listed as questionable, George will play through a left big toe contusion during the second leg of a back-to-back set. The second-year wing is in the middle of a breakout season, averaging 15.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks over 17 games.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Iffy for Tuesday

George is questionable for Tuesday's game against the 76ers with a left big toe contusion. Tuesday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, so the Wizards may tread carefully. George had a tough showing in 31 minutes against the Bucks on Monday, finishing with nine points (3-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block. If he can't suit up, the Wizards could rely heavily on Cam Whitmore with Khris Middleton resting.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Questionable to play Friday

George (illness) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers. George missed Tuesday's game against the Hawks due to feeling ill, but the questionable tag ahead of Friday's game suggests that the second-year forward could return to the hardwood to face Indiana. George is averaging 15.5 points, 5.1 boards and 4.7 assists per game since the beginning of November.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Ruled out Tuesday

George (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks, Varun Shankar of The Washington Post reports. George is under the weather and will miss just his second game of the 2025-26 campaign. With the second-year swingman sidelined, Corey Kispert and Cam Whitmore are candidates for increased roles. George's next opportunity to play will come Friday against the Pacers.

  • Wizards' Kyshawn George: Double-doubles in loss

George provided 17 points (5-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 12 rebounds, seven assists and four steals across 36 minutes during Saturday's 121-120 loss to the Bulls. George was held to a season-low five points on 2-of-7 shooting his last time out, so it was nice to see him bounce back with a big stat line. This was George's second double-double of the season and the third of his career, and he also notched a new career high in steals. He'll look to continue stuffing the stat sheet Tuesday against the Hawks.
