Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said that Nesmith (ankle) won't play Friday against Washington, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.
The Pacers have already decided that Nesmith won't play in the second half of the team's back-to-back set to open the post-All-Star-break schedule after he sprained his right ankle in Thursday's 112-105 loss to the Wizards. Prior to his departure, Nesmith tallied three points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 15 minutes. Kobe Brown started the second half in Nesmith's place Thursday and could be in line for a large workload again Friday.

Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Good to go Thursday
Rotowire
Nesmith (back) is available for Thursday's game against the Wizards, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
Nesmith missed Indiana's final outing before the All-Star break due to lower-back soreness but will shake off his questionable tag Thursday due to a lumbar sprain. Thursday's contest is the front end of a back-to-back set, so it wouldn't be surprising if he popped up on Friday's injury report. Over four February appearances, the 26-year-old has averaged 11.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in 29.8 minutes per contest.
Nesmith (back) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Wizards.
Nesmith missed the Pacers final game before the All-Star break due to back pain, and the 26-year-old still hasn't fully recovered from the injury. If he's able to shed his questionable tag to face Washington, Nesmith would likely assume a larger offensive role, considering Pascal Siakam (personal) will be inactive.
