Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Lights up Kings in blowout victory
Champagnie had 26 points (9-14 FG, 8-13 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists across 25 minutes during Tuesday's 130-103 victory over the Kings.
Champagnie was red hot during the first half of Tuesday's win, connecting on eight triples en route to a season-high 26 points. While this was a fantastic night for anyone rostering, it could certainly have been a lot better had the game been even remotely close. He remains an elite source of three-pointers, although he doesn't offer a lot outside of that category. Given that he had made seven three-pointers in his previous three games, managers shouldn't expect a performance like this very often.

Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Nails three triples vs. Dallas
Champagnie finished Saturday's 122-106 win over the Mavericks with 12 points (4-8 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal over 28 minutes.
Champagnie was one of six Spurs players to score in double digits Saturday, and he was the only member of the team's bench to reach that threshold. He also contributed defensively with three blocks, which was second-most on San Antonio behind Victor Wembanyama (four). Chamagnie has gone 7-for-18 (38.9 percent) from three-point range through the first three games of the regular season, and that continued form will help him maintain his role in the rotation once Tobias Harris (calf) is cleared to play.

Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Lands two triples off bench
Champagnie finished with six points (2-5 FG, 2-5 3Pt) and three steals in 25 minutes during Friday's 114-110 loss to Houston.
Champagnie finished with a pair of three-pointers, although that's really where the good news ends. While it does appear as though he is going to play a meaningful role for the Spurs, his ceiling is relatively limited. Coming off his best season in the NBA, the opportunities that he had last year simply aren't going to be available to him, assuming the roster remains largely healthy. Fantasy managers should view him as a viable three-point streaming option.

Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Fills box score in loss
Champagnie notched eight points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 loss to the Thunder.
Although it was Devin Vassell who drew the Opening Night start, Champagnie also appears to be a direct fantasy beneficiary of Tobias Harris' (calf) absence. Champagnie should be worth streaming in most leagues until Harris is cleared to make his season debut.

Champagnie (rest) will suit up for Friday's preseason finale against the Kings, Matt Guzman of SI.com reports.
After taking a day off Wednesday against the Suns, Champagnie is one of several Spurs set to return. This has the look of a potential dress rehearsal for the team.

Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Battling for starting role
Champagnie supplied 14 points (5-13 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, one steal and one block over 26 minutes in Monday's 119-109 preseason loss to Utah.
The sharpshooter appears to be competing with Dylan Harper for the Spurs' final starting spot to begin the season. That said, Tobias Harris (calf) should pose another threat to playing time for Champagnie once he's healthy.

Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Late addition to first unit
Champagnie will start Thursday's preseason game against Atlanta, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
The Spurs initially released a starting lineup that didn't include Champagnie, but the team has since reported that De'Aaron Fox has been downgraded to out due to soreness. This opens up a slot in the starting five for Champagnie, who is expected to play a key role this season for San Antonio after averaging 11.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 82 regular-season appearances a year ago.

Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Not worried about starting role
Champagnie said Monday that he's not really "paying attention" to whether he starts or not, Matt Guzman of SI.com reports.
Champagnie is instead focused on helping the Spurs win a title following their NBA Finals loss to the Knicks. The 25-year-old swingman is coming off a career year in which he started 68 of his 82 regular-season appearances, averaging 11.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 triples, 1.5 assists and 0.8 steals while shooting 38.1 percent from deep in 27.6 minutes per contest. However, Tobias Harris is now in the mix, making it uncertain whether Champagnie will begin the regular season in the starting five. Still, he's fresh off signing a three-year, $45 million contract and figures to remain an important piece for San Antonio for the foreseeable future.
