Larsson won't start Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Magic.
With most of the Heat's regulars resting during the preseason finale, Larsson drew a spot start. However, aside from Josh Richardson (shoulder), the Heat are healthy heading into the regular season, so Larsson isn't guaranteed playing time on Opening Night.

Heat's Pelle Larsson: Struggles with shot vs. Memphis
Larsson finished Friday's 114-109 preseason loss to the Grizzlies with 14 points (5-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals over 32 minutes.
Larsson got his first start of the preseason Friday, and although he struggled from the field, he finished the game with a team-high plus-21 point differential. The rookie second-round pick is unlikely to see much playing time at the NBA level, meaning he could spend most of the 2024-25 regular season getting meaningful reps in the G League with the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Larsson logged 21 points (6-13 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), six assists, four rebounds and four steals during Sunday's 102-99 win over the Warriors in the Summer League semifinals.
Larsson was excellent on both ends of the floor, finishing as one of two Heat players to top 20 points while pacing Miami in steals. The No. 44 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Larsson characterizes as a three-and-D wing and should compete with Duncan Robinson, Josh Richardson and Alec Burks for minutes off the bench during the regular season.

Larsson was drafted by the Heat with the No. 44 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
After starting his collegiate career at Utah, Larsson transferred to Arizona, where he spent the last three seasons. In 2023-24, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 12.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 36 games. Larsson can provide quality perimeter defense along with a consistent outside shot, as he converted 42.6 percent of his 3.0 three-point attempts per contest last year.
