  • Jazz's Justin Lewis: Lands with Utah

The Jazz signed Lewis to an Exhibit 10 contract Sunday, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Lewis will join the club on a non-guaranteed pact, though he is expected to land with the club's G League affiliate -- the Salt Lake City Stars -- for the 2024-25 campaign. The 22-year-old made 29 regular-season appearances for the Stars last year, during which he averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds across 14.4 minutes per game.

  • Justin Lewis: Let go by Chicago

The Bulls waived Lewis on Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Lewis was in the midst of his second season as a two-way player for the Bulls, but he never got the opportunity to make his NBA debut. He was sidelined for his entire first professional season while recovering from a torn ACL, and though he's been fully healthy in 2023-24, he's played exclusively with the G League's Windy City Bulls. Chicago will sign forward Henri Drell to a two-way contract to fill the spot vacated by Lewis.

  • Bulls' Justin Lewis: Officially back on two-way deal

The Bulls confirmed Sunday that Lewis (ankle) will re-sign with the team on a two-way contract, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.

Lewis finished the 2022-23 season as one of the Bulls' two-way players, but the undrafted rookie out of Marquette never got the chance to make his NBA debut after missing the entire campaign while recovering from a torn ACL. The Bulls didn't confirm prior to the start of free agency July 1 whether they declined to extend Lewis a qualifying offer, or whether they retained his rights as a restricted free agent. Lewis then took part in two games for the Bulls in the Las Vegas Summer League, only to be shut down with an ankle injury. The Bulls evidently came away encouraged enough from what they saw from Lewis to commit to him as one of their three two-way players for 2023-24, with undrafted rookie center Adama Sanogo being one of the others. Lewis will presumably spent most of the upcoming season in the G League with the Windy City Bulls.

  • Bulls' Justin Lewis: Shut down for summer

The Bulls announced Tuesday that Lewis (ankle) will be sidelined for the remainder of the Las Vegas Summer League, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.

After missing his entire first season in the professional ranks while recovering from a torn ACL, Lewis was cleared to play in the NBA Summer League, but he appeared in just two games in Las Vegas before succumbing to a new injury. Assuming he doesn't need surgery to address the ankle sprain, Lewis should be back to full health for training camp, but it's unclear if he'll have a spot on Chicago's roster. Lewis' status is currently in limbo after the Bulls have yet to formally re-sign him to a two-way contract for the 2023-24 season. Undrafted rookie Adama Sanogo and third-year forward Terry Taylor are currently occupying two of the Bulls' three two-way slots.

  • Bulls' Justin Lewis: Starting Friday

Lewis (knee) will start Friday's Summer League game versus the Raptors.

Lewis tore his ACL in August of 2022 and was forced to miss the entire 2022-23 campaign after undergoing surgery. It's encouraging to see him back in action this summer, but he may be limited to only a few games over the next two weeks to avoid a potential setback.

  • Bulls' Justin Lewis: On track to play in Summer League

Lewis (knee) is on track to play with the Bulls during Summer League action in Las Vegas, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Lewis sustained a torn ACL in August of 2022 and underwent surgery that forced him to miss the entire 2022-23 campaign. However, he's been a full participant in Summer League camp and is on track to return to game action this summer. Assuming he feels good after playing in games, it seems likely that he'll be ready to suit up for the start of the regular season. Lewis was under contract on a two-way deal to close the 2022-23 season and will likely remain on the books heading into training camp if he turns in a strong showing in the summer.

  • Bulls' Justin Lewis: Reunites with Chicago

Lewis (knee) signed a two-way contract with the Bulls on Tuesday.

After going undrafted out of Marquette this past summer, Lewis inked a two-way deal with Chicago, but he then torn the ACL in his right knee in August and underwent surgery, prompting Chicago to cut him loose before the start of the regular season. The 6-foot-7 forward has spent the entire campaign rehabbing and doesn't appear on the cusp of playing at any point in 2022-23, but the Bulls will at least be able to oversee his recovery from the knee injury now that he's under contract.

  • Bulls' Justin Lewis: Suffers ACL injury

Lewis suffered an ACL injury over the weekend and will undergo surgery in the coming weeks, which will sideline him indefinitely.

Lewis inked a two-way contract with the Bulls after going undrafted this summer. The 6-foot-7 forward out of Marquette was expected to spend the majority of the season in the G League, so his absence shouldn't impact the NBA roster.

  • Bulls' Justin Lewis: Signs two-way with Bulls

Lewis signed a two-way deal with the Bulls on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Lewis went undrafted during the 2022 NBA draft but quickly agreed to terms on a two-way deal with the Bulls. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 13.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists over two seasons with Marquette.
