2023 NFL free agency and trade tracker, live updates: Latest rumors, signings and moves throughout Week 2

We are about two weeks through NFL free agency with all the offseason moves and trades it brings, but there is still plenty to figure out. When will the Aaron Rodgers trade officially happen? Is Odell Beckham Jr. close to signing with a new club? And when will a potential suitor approach Lamar Jackson? We also have to keep an eye on DeAndre Hopkins, as the Arizona Cardinals wideout is expected to be traded sometime this offseason.

Maybe the big wave of signings has come and gone, but with the draft right around the corner, all 32 teams are continuing to explore the market to fill out rosters for the summer. There are still plenty of intriguing players out there looking for new deals.

As we continue to follow along on this Friday, here's a rundown of what you need to know:

We've got you covered during this free agent period. In our live blog below, you'll see every important rumor and signing that goes down over this stretch.

The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that they have re-signed safety Michael Thomas to a one-year extension. Thomas was slated to become an unrestricted free agent but now gets to remain in Cincy through the 2023 season. The safety position could be an area to focus on for the Bengals this offseason as Jessie Bates III and Vonn Bell are hitting the market.

The Lions are bringing back a running back -- but not the RB1 (yet).

Craig Reynolds will return to Detroit on a one-year deal. The Kutztown grad has been a good RB3 and special teamer for them the last few seasons.

And we have punter news! The Bills have agreed to a three-year deal with Sam Martin worth $7.5 million, according to NFL Media. Martin gets $4.115 million in guarantees to remain in Buffalo. Last season, the 33-year-old had 35.6% of his punts land inside the 20-yard line.

Some fun nuggets from Darin Gantt in here. Panthers extended an offer to D'Onta Foreman to start, who is part of this loaded FA RB class.

The Cleveland Browns have restructured Deshaun Watson's contract, per NFL Media. Watson was looking at a base salary of $46 million for 2023 and they have since shrunk that to $1.16 million by converting a chunk of it to a signing bonus. Cleveland was roughly $14 million over the salary cap before this restructuring and now has $22.3 million in space to be active in free agency.

Could the #Eagles bring back Darius Slay and James Bradberry?

They want the opportunity to match Bradberry's offer.

As for Slay? He doesn't want to go anywhere.

Buffalo and running back Nyheim Hines were able to come to an agreement on a contract restructure that ensures he'll be with the team in 2023, according to NFL Media.  The moves help give the Bills some cap relief, but it also gives Hines the opportunity to make more than the $4.79 million he was originally due for the year if he hits certain incentives. Hines was acquired in a mid-season trade by the Bills from Indy and proved to be a valuable piece for them, especially in the kick return game.

Here's quotes from Darius Slay on a return to Eagles, via his podcast:

"I just want my fans to know, Slay did not ask to be traded," Slay said on his podcast. "But this is part of the business. There's no bad blood against neither one of us, me or (general manager) Howie (Roseman). None of that. We all good.

"Great understanding, just the business part of it. A lot of guys go up for trade, you know, it got a lot of money involved in this situation. It's nothing big. Nothing too serious, man. It's part of the business.

"I do want to finish my career as an Eagle, but we'll see. We'll be looking forward to it. Got time here, but best believe, I do want to be a Eagle."

The Eagles gave permission for Slay to seek a trade, but Slay does not want to be traded.

Could the Eagles bring back James Bradberry and Darius Slay?

Here's what Bradberry told CBS Sports NFL Insider Josina Anderson.

"I know there's definitely interest. I would love to play for the Eagles. I definitely see how bright the future is for our team. I am just waiting to hear the exact terms from them.

"I believe they're also waiting on what the market tells us as well, because I'm also anticipating interest from other teams too. So they told me whoever calls, just make sure I also give them the chance to match."

49ers ink one of their pending free agents ahead of the tampering period. Gipson picked off five passes for SF last year.

Jets continue to make waves by re-signing Quincey Williams. He had 100 tackles in each of his first two seasons with Gang Green.

The Odell Beckham Jr. free agency market is reportedly set to heat up following his workout for NFL teams in Arizona on Friday, according to NFL Media. The 30-year-old three-time Pro Bowler hasn't played since the Rams won Super Bowl LVI after tearing his ACL in the first half of that game.

Now that the Dolphins have acquired Jalen Ramsey from the Rams, in exchange for a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long, here's a look at our trade grades for Sunday's blockbuster deal: Jalen Ramsey trade grades for Dolphins, Rams: Miami has Pro Bowl CB duo with Xavien Howard, L.A. eyes future

All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey could soon be a Miami Dolphin, according to multiple CBS Sports reports. Following the release of former big-money free agent cornerback Byron Jones, the Miami Dolphins are moving quickly to acquire a wingman for Pro Bowler Xavien Howard in the secondary.

Ramsey himself appeared to give the move from the Los Angeles Rams to the Dolphins a stamp of approval shortly after the news broke. He is one of seven players to make the Pro Bowl in each of the last six seasons.

The Buffalo Bills have ensured 2022 First-Team All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano will remain in Western New York through the 2026 season with a two-year contact extension.

The 28-year-old former 5th round pick had a career-high 11 passes defended and tied his career-high in interceptions with three, which led to his first Pro Bowl selection as well as All-Pro honors in 2022. Milano and Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt are the only players in the NFL with 25 or more tackles for loss and multiple interceptions since the start of the 2021 season. The signing reportedly adds six million dollars in cap space for the Bills this offseason, according to ESPN. The team is still roughly $13 million over the cap with three days left to be cap compliant at the start of the new league year on March 15.

The cap space-starved Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly interested in free agent Baker Mayfield, the former first overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, according to NFL Media reports

Mayfield played 12 games in 2022, 10 as a starter, for both the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Rams in the final season of his rookie deal. With Tom Brady retired for good and Blaine Gabbert set to become a free agent, Kyle Trask, the final pick of the second round in the 2022 NFL Draft, is the only quarterback on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' roster.

According to Tyler Dunne, there is "mutual interest in running back Jamaal Williams, the NFL's leader in rushing touchdowns with 17 in 2022, returning to the Detroit. However, the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Jets are also "interested."
