Bengals vs. Titans: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game

Game Recap

The Tennessee Titans were the 24-20 winners over the Cincinnati Bengals when they previously met in November of 2017. Sunday? They had no such luck. The Titans came up short against Cincinnati, falling 31-20. Tennessee didn't live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the 7-point advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game.

The Bengals can attribute much of their success to RB Giovani Bernard, who punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD. QB Joe Burrow had a good game, too, finishing with two touchdowns.

Tennessee's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of RB Derrick Henry, who rushed for one TD and 112 yards on 18 carries, and WR Corey Davis, who caught eight passes for one TD and 128 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Tennessee and nudges their record down to 5-2. Cincinnati's win brought them up to 2-5-1.

The Titans will take on the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. ET next week at Nissan Stadium. The Bengals will have some time to savor their victory since their next contest is a little ways off; they will square off against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field at 4:25 p.m. ET in two weeks. Cincinnati isn't favored, but they just beat the odds this past game, so don't count them out.
