The production of Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew diminished significantly in 2012 and continues to fall. He has gone from a sure-fire Fantasy play to a questionable one.

Pettigrew experienced a sharp drop in catches, yards and touchdowns last year. And in five games this season he has just 16 receptions for 151 yards and no scores. The presence of fellow tight end Tony Scheffler has always lessened Pettigrew's value, but now it could make the difference between a viable Fantasy option and a bench player.

Making matters worse, Week 6 foe Cleveland has yet to yield a touchdown to a tight end. The Browns have surrendered only 23 catches for 247 yards against players at that position. They are also ranked first in the NFL in passing touchdowns allowed with just two.

Pettigrew has been placed between 16th and 22nd among tight ends this week by the three CBSSports.com senior Fantasy writers. So play him with caution or bench him if you have a more viable option.
