Even though his knee was supposed to take 10 weeks to stabilize after he injured it during Chicago’s season finale vs. the Vikings, he’s taking it easy this spring and not participating in the team’s OTAs.
"It's getting better,” Urlacher said, via the Chicago Tribune. "I'm on schedule, so I feel good. At this stage, I know the defense pretty well. I'm not worried about being out there and not knowing what I'm doing.”
Along with missing the voluntary OTAs, there’s a decent chance he’ll be limited for the team’s mini-camp next month. But Ulracher said he should be good to go in time for training camp.
"If there's one guy you don't have to worry about being ready, it's Brian,” linebacker Nick Roach said. "He's always doing what he needs to get his body right.”
And if that means he’s not sweating through OTAs with a chance of making his knee worse, it’s probably a good idea that he sits out these workouts.
