Browns LB Chris Gocong has been carted off after injuring his right ankle defensing a pass.
He was untouched on the play, but grabbed his ankle as he was on the ground for about a minute and couldn't put any weight on it when he stood.
A severe injury would be devastating to a unit that already lacks depth and could lose OLB Scott Fujita to a three-game suspension to start the season.
Look for rookie James-Michael Johnson to be placed on the fast track if Gocong is out for an extended period. Veteran Kaluka Maiava is a possible replacement, but he's slated to take over for Fujita.
