After a lengthy stint on the reserve/COVID list, the Kansas City Chiefs have activated star safety Tyrann Mathieu. While this is a positive development, the Chiefs also announced that Mathieu was officially listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Mathieu tested positive for COVID-19 10 days ago, but not everyone anticipated him being on the new reserve list for this long. He's a leader on this defense, and Kansas City has a tough matchup against Baker Mayfield and his dynamic duo at running back in Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt.

The 29-year-old has proven to be one of the best safeties in the league, and just earned his third All-Pro nod this past season as well as his second Pro Bowl appearance. In 15 games played last year, he recorded 62 combined tackles, nine passes defensed and a career-high six interceptions.

How Mathieu is feeling Sunday will likely be the determining factor on if he plays or not. Even if he does suit up, you have to wonder if he will play the number of snaps he usually does. If Mathieu does not play, expect Armani Watts to get the start, with maybe a little bit of Juan Thornhill sprinkled in as well.
