Chiefs cornerback Sanders Commings saw his season get ended by a teammate in embarrassing fashion last year. Running back Jamaal Charles used a juke move on Commings in practice that literally broke a bone in his foot.
Now, Commings is fully healthy and putting that play and last season in the rear view mirror.
“Yeah, yeah, it was (a great play),” Commings said. “He’s one of the top running backs in the league. I forgot all about that. I’m about the future.”
The 25-year-old knows that in order to succeed in the NFL as a cornerback he needs to worry about what's always happening in the now and not dwell on the past.
“I’m not holding back,” Commings said. “My position, DB, is all about having a short memory. So those injuries are things of the past.”
