Colts vs. Seahawks: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game

The Indianapolis Colts and the Seattle Seahawks will face off at 1 p.m. ET Sept. 12 at Lucas Oil Stadium to kick off their 2021 seasons. Indianapolis is coming off of an 11-5 season with hopes of advancing further than the first round of the playoffs, where they were eliminated by the Buffalo Bills 27-24. Likewise, Seattle is in much the same position after losing 30-20 to the Los Angeles Rams in the first round of the playoffs following a 12-4 regular season.

Two last-season defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: The Colts were second best in rushing yards allowed per game, finishing the 2020 season giving up only 90.5 on average. Less enviably, the Seahawks were second worst when it came to passing yards allowed per game last year, with the squad giving up 300.7 on average. The good news for Seattle, of course, is that these forces working against them might not carry over into the new season.

The point spread is more or less neutral, so fans should expect a close game. We'll see if the game is as close as the oddsmakers expect or if one of these teams has a surprise blowout in them.
