The Saints terminated the contract of Courtney Roby, a longtime special teams ace and a wide receiver for New Orleans. Other contracts terminated: defensive end Jay Richardson, cornerback Chris Carr and safety Jim Leonhard. Center Eric Olsen was placed on Injured Reserve.
In addition, the Saints waived the following 17 players from the roster: quarterback Ryan Griffin, wide receiver Preston Parker, fullback Austin Johnson, wide receiver Saalim Hakim, guard Elliott Mealer, tight end Keavon Milton, tight end Mike Higgins, guard Andrew Tiller, center Jeremiah Warren, linebacker Rayford Shipman, linebacker Rufus Johnson, defensive tackle Isaako Aaitui, safety Jerico Nelson, linebacker Baraka Atkins, tackle Marcel Jones, cornerback Korey Lindsey and cornerback Jumal Rolle.
