After taking a helmet-first blast to the chin by Steelers safety Ryan Mundy on Sunday, Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey spent the night in the hospital for observation.
On Monday afternoon, the team announced that Heyward-Bey was released from Eden Medical Center and is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a neck sprain and concussion.
"It was hard, a challenge," coach Dennis Allen said after the Raiders beat the Steelers on Sunday. "When one of your guys goes down, especially in a situation like that, it's hard to keep your focus. I thought our guys did an outstanding job, coming back and winning the game in the fourth quarter."
Heyward-Bey currently is resting at home.
