Drake London injury update: Falcons WR 'doubtful' for Week 13 matchup vs. Jets, per coach Raheem Morris
London could be sidelined for a second consecutive game

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is doubtful to play against the New York Jets in Week 13 because of the PCL sprain he suffered in the Week 11 loss to the Carolina Panthers, coach Raheem Morris said Wednesday. London left that game against the Panthers late in regulation and did not return for overtime, and he sat out last week during his recovery from the injury. He is now on track to miss his second straight game.
If London does not suit up on Sunday, the soonest he could return is Week 14 against the Seattle Seahawks.
"I'm gonna give him all the week," Morris said. "We talked about week-to-week. I don't know what the proper term is, but doubtful for me. I'm sure he'll give you whatever the letter of the law is. He looks good. He's moving around. I'm happy that we'll get him back soon, just not sure how soon."
Prior to his injury, London diced up the Panthers for seven catches and 117 yards. As the Falcons drove to tie or win the game in the fourth quarter, London took a hard hit going over the middle and landed hard when diving for a ball down the sideline. He remained on the sideline after that possession.
Losing London is a crushing blow to the Atlanta offense. London is the biggest element of the Falcons' passing game as he leads the team in receptions (60), receiving yards (810) and receiving touchdowns (6).
London, the No. 8 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has evolved into one of the best receivers in the league. Since entering the NFL four seasons ago, London posted 301 receptions for 3,852 yards and 21 touchdowns. London is on pace for career bests in both yards and touchdowns, but his knee injury could derail that.
While the Falcons bounced back last week with a divisional win over the New Orleans Saints, their injury situation continues to paint a bleak picture for the rest of the season. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is done for the year with a knee injury of his own, and promising rookie safety Billy Bowman Jr. tore his Achilles tendon last week.
