- Cam Newton will not get a street in Atlanta named after him. According to Julia Reynolds of Fox 5, the proposal was defeated Tuesday night.
- Center Ryan Kalil took out a full-page ad in the Charlotte Observer to explain why the Panthers will win the Super Bowl.
- Veteran linebackers Thomas Davis and Jon Beason and defensive tackle Ron Edwards participated in rookie camp workouts as they recover from injuries last season. The Charlotte Observer’s Joseph Person reports on day two of rookie camp.
- Byron Bell is expected to get the starting job at right tackle after the team traded Jeff Otah, according to the AP’s Steve Reed.
