When Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski manned the drive-thru window at a local Dunkin Donuts, I mentioned that anything he does that's bizarre or off-the-wall is an automatic post here.
So it shouldn't surprise you that I'm eagerly tossing up a video of Gronkowski promoting himself in the current Madden cover contest that EA Sports is running.
The contest is, like last year, a bracketed fan vote to pick one winner. Peyton Hillis won last year and Gronkowski -- along with Cam Newton -- is one of the favorites for 2012.
Gronk's currently squaring off against Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and to show how he plans to crush Allen, he pretended a watermelon was Allen, took that watermelon out into an alley and and Gronk-spiked it.
Boom-Shaka-Lacka.
