On Sunday night the world is going to get its first glimpse of a rivalry that could last for quite some time when Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz square off in their first Eagles-Cowboys matchup of the year.
Regardless of whether or not Tony Romo comes back and plays this year or is on the Cowboys' roster next season, these two quarterbacks stand a very good chance of facing each other many times in the future.
Prescott's proven himself to be the quarterback of the long haul for Dallas, and potentially the quarterback for the short haul too, by playing an incredibly smart brand of football, limiting his turnovers and making smart decisions while getting the Cowboys out to a 5-1 start.
It doesn't hurt that he gets to play behind the best offensive line in football, of course. That line has helped another rookie for Dallas, as Ezekiel Elliott is currently second in the NFL in rushing yards behind only DeMarco Murray of the Titans, who has already played in Week 8 and hasn't had his bye yet. Elliott's 117.2 yards per game are nearly 20 yards ahead of the next-closest player.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are stunning everyone with their impressive play. After dealing Sam Bradford to the Vikings in a preseason trade, Philly looked like a team capable of cratering with an untested rookie under center, limited talent at wide receiver (Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor) and questionable health at running back (Ryan Mathews).
Doug Pederson's done an outstanding job coaching this team up and he has them in a position to try and knock off the Cowboys and take control of the division.

Prisco's Pick
The Eagles didn't play so well in their last two road games, but the defense got back on track last week against the Vikings. This is a bigger challenge, especially against the run, but I think they will keep it close. Carson Wentz against Dak Prescott will be entertaining in a tight one.
Pick: Cowboys 21, Eagles 20
