The NFC East was arguably the worst division in football for the first half of the season last year (we don't count the AFC South when we say football) and now, eight weeks into the year, it might very well be the best division in the entire league. The AFC West would like a word, but the NFC East sports a number of quality teams and is going to make the playoff race difficult across the conference.
The Cowboys are kings of the division right now, sitting at 6-1 and facing a matchup against the Browns (so, basically 7-1). The Redskins are on bye after their trip to London.
That leaves the Eagles and Giants, both 4-3, to play in a huge -- yyyyyyyyyyuge, even -- matchup that could very well set the table for the playoff race to come.
The Giants are two weeks removed from intercepting Case Keenum's arm punt in the end zone of Twickenham Stadium in London to seal a narrow victory against the Los Angeles Rams. They didn't look great, but they won overseas and got a free week to rest out of it.
Philly is coming off a brutal Week 8 that saw them gag away a late lead to Dak Prescott and Dallas, despite being in very good shape to walk out of Jerry World with a critical division win.
Momentum is huge and it's on the side of the Giants, but this is basically a coin flip. The Eagles' strength (defensive line) matches up against the Giants' weakness (offensive line), but it doesn't matter how good Philly's secondary is, because New York has Odell Beckham.
One of these teams will end up at 5-3 and get to nip on the Cowboys' heels for a few weeks. The other is going to be 4-4 and find themselves in the basement of a difficult division.

Prisco's Pick
The Giants are coming off a bye and the Eagles are playing consecutive road division games. They lost a tough one against the Cowboys, and now must regroup here. I think the Giants will limit Carson Wentz, while Eli Manning has a big day.
Pick: Giants 30, Eagles 23
