As the Cowboys have raced out to an 11-1 record, the Eagles and Redskins have been unable to make the NFC East race interesting. Both teams have completely fallen behind, failing to keep pace with the Cowboys.
After beating the Packers on Nov. 20, the Redskins were 6-3-1. Now? They've lost two straight games since Kirk Cousins yelled "How you like me now?" at his boss.
After starting 3-0, the Eagles are in complete free-fall mode. They're 5-7 now, they've lost three straight, and Carson Wentz has transitioned from the next great NFL quarterback to a potential bust -- at least that's how his narrative has gone thus far.
The good news for both teams: One team will get to end their losing streak Sunday.
On Sunday, the Eagles and Redskins will meet in Philadelphia. Besides ending losing streaks, the game matters because the Redskins are fighting for their playoff lives. They're just half a game back of the Buccaneers for the final wild-card spot in the NFC. The Eagles haven't been officially eliminated, but they'd need a miracle to qualify for the postseason.
So, let's focus on Washington and what it needs to do end its two-game losing streak. The first step would be getting Jordan Reed back. The team's star tight end missed last week's game with a shoulder injury and is officially listed as questionable. The second step would be for Cousins to not play like he did last week, when he posted a 77.6 passer rating against the Cardinals. The third step would be for the defense to not allow 31 points, which is how many points it has allowed in each of the past two losses.
Luckily for the Redskins, Reed is optimistic about his chances of playing, Cousins has been pretty dang good this year outside of last week, and the Eagles have been outscored by 14.33 points in their last three losses.

Prisco's Pick
The Redskins are playing a third consecutive road game, which is brutal. The Eagles have really struggled after a fast start, but I think they get it going here against their division rival. Look for Carson Wentz to get back on track here.
Pick: Eagles 21, Redskins 17
